Hi There! My name is Janki Patel and I am the Owner and Center Director of Mathnasium of Los Feliz/Silverlake. I hold a BBA in Finance and Management from Pace University in NYC. Growing up, math was not my strong suit, but I later realized the challenge wasn’t the subject itself—it was the lack of personalized instruction. This realization led me to dedicate my career to making math education accessible and tailor to each student’s learning style.
I moved from NYC to Los Angeles to pursue my passions as both an actress and entrepreneur. By blending creativity with business, I have built a foundation to empower the next generation with the importance of education. I believe math plays a pivotal role in all careers and am committed to helping students build confidence and problem-solving skills. Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.

No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
