Geeta

Owner/Operations Director
Geeta is the owner at Mathnasium of Simi Valley. Prior to opening her Mathnasium center. She has worked with developing, implementing and managing technology to meet people's needs for over 15 years. Much of her career has been spent consulting for private and public companies on their use of technology. Because STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is now at the forefront of education policy and curriculum, Geeta recognizes that math education will impact all areas of science and technology as well as business and government. The study of math enables a powerful, universal thought process that not only helps individuals to identify and analyze problems, but also provides them with the tools needed to find solutions and make sound decisions. Her interest in Mathnasium is to help the next generation build a solid foundation. Learning math effectively enhances brain and cognitive development in young children and adolescents — providing a quality educational experience will greatly impact the rest of their lives. Whether a child will be a doctor, teacher, engineer or construction worker, he or she needs a minimum level of math skills. It is possible for kids to learn not only to not hate math but to learn to love and appreciate it and be able to use it effectively as a tool throughout their entire lives.

I'm a student at the University of North Dakota, where I'm pursuing my passion for mathematics. Solving integrals in calculus and exploring the intricacies of factoring are my favorite topics. At Mathnasium, I enjoy finding new ways to teach math, making it engaging and valuable for everyone.

Graduating from NAU, I've always been fascinated by mathematics. My favorite number is -1, and I enjoy diving into all mathematical topics. What captivates me about Mathnasium is its innovative approach, making math enjoyable and accessible for students of all levels. I appreciate its inclusive environment, fostering a love for learning in everyone who walks through its doors.

Hobbies & Interests: Outside of academics I enjoy tinkering with things and exploring the world of engineering. In my free time I love watching football and rooting for my favorite team the Baltimore Ravens.  

What I love about Mathnasium: I am passionate about helping students overcome challenges in their learning journey and witnessing the moment where everything starts to make sense

Hey! I'm a student over at Simi Valley High, and I'm really getting into the whole math scene with gusto. My top pick? Gotta be 5. But honestly, every aspect of math has got me hooked. What really gets me going is being involved with Mathnasium. Seeing other students pick up new techniques and watching them advance—it's just so fulfilling. Being a part of this journey of learning and development is something I'm absolutely stoked about!
