Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

David Reames

Center Director

Hello, I'm David. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had along the way. Joining Mathnasium has been a wonderful step in my journey, allowing me to combine my past experiences as a financial tutor and manager into my current role as Center Director. Working with students of all ages and learning styles has been both rewarding and humbling, helping me grow as an instructor. When I'm not at Mathnasium, I enjoy spending time tinkering with vehicles or crafting things—whether in the physical world or through creative projects online.

Sameh

Lead Instructor
Hi, I'm Sameh; some people call me Sam. I enjoy tutoring math because I grew up with great teachers and family members who made me fall in love with math, and I hope to do the same for the next generations. I believe anyone can excel at and develop a passion for math; they just need a good instructor who can motivate them and help them understand. I also believe that learning math helps build problem-solving skills, which can be applied in all aspects of life. Some of my hobbies include creating digital art, reading manga, and learning new things in general using the internet. One of my long-term goals is to learn, research, and hopefully teach the Ainu language. I am deeply interested in both the people and the language and want to contribute to the preservation of their culture and language.

Vishnu

Lead Instructor

Hi! I'm Vishnu, a computer science student at Georgia State University. I myself wasn't exactly enamored with math as a young child, but exploring the subject's implications as a motorsports fan and car enthusiast—such as how Formula One cars generate enough downforce to take sharp corners at speeds as fast as 220 MPH—piqued my interest in the subject. I'd love to facilitate the same process of discovery in other students, which is why I enjoy tutoring in math. In my free time, I love to play table tennis, get outside and ride my bike, and listen to music. In the future, I hope to put my math and computer science skills to work as an engineer in the automotive industry.

Anna

Instructor
Hey, I'm Anna. I enjoy tutoring math because it makes me feel happy. I'm a gamer, particularly drawn to cozy indie games, and I play a wide variety of them. I'm also an avid reader, with interests spanning from fantasy to romance novels. One of my goals is to hopefully become a dungeon master for a game of Dungeons and Dragons in the near future.

Eseosa

Instructor

Hey! My name's Eseosa. I enjoy tutoring in math because it gives me a chance to not only help others overcome struggles that I may have had learning arithmetic, but tutoring gives me an avenue to showcase some of the real-life applications of math that I wanted to see when I was younger. One hobby of mine is playing the piano! A future aspiration I have is to become a psychiatrist.

Sarah

Lead Instructor

Hi, I'm Sarah! I used to struggle in math, especially when I was in 5th grade/early 6th grade. I had a math tutor at the time who was skilled at not only explaining the concepts, but making math fun through hands-on learning and games. Ever since then, I've found math both easy and enjoyable. When I'm tutoring students, I hope to give a similar experience to students who struggle like I once did. As for my hobbies, I love anything musical. I've played violin since I was in 6th grade and have also picked up guitar and piano. In the future, I hope to become fluent in Spanish so I can communicate with more people in our local community.

Sarafina

Instructor

Hi! I’m Sarafina. I love tutoring math because there's nothing quite like the feeling of helping someone succeed, even if it’s just understanding a new concept. Math has always been a subject I’m passionate about, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with others. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with friends, and reading. One of my personal goals is to read 100 books this year! Looking ahead, I plan to attend college on a pre-med track with the goal of becoming an anesthesiologist.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
