Yekan

Center Director
Yekan earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and two master's degrees in Human Resource Management and Cybersecurity. With over a decade of teaching experience, he has been dedicated to teaching mathematics, not only covering the standard curriculum but also thriving in imparting concepts related to math competitions. Outside of work, Yekan finds joy in playing board games with friends and he is a half-professional Go player. He takes pride in being a member of the Mathnasium family, where he contributes to helping students enhance their mathematical skills.

Elizabeth

Assistant Center Director
Elizabeth is currently studying in the University of Washington, majoring in accounting. She started to build her interest in Math after she got into high school. Then, she participated in the National Honor Society to tutor her fellow classmates who struggled in Math. Along with her tutoring experiences, Elizabeth is passionate and patient when staying with students. She is glad to be part of the Mathnasium family and help students to improve with their Math skills.

Doug S.

Instructor
Doug is a passionate math enthusiast with a background from the University of Washington and graduate studies at UC Davis. Math has always been Doug's forte and passion, something he enjoys both professionally and personally. As an instructor at Mathnasium, Doug loves sharing his knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of math in students of all ages. Sam

Senior Instructor
Ilene Katz, calls herself Sam. She taught mathematics in college for 40 years. She loves Math and teaching, so she is very glad to be working with the students at Mathnasium. Sam and her husband loves going for walks, travelling, cats and their daughter Jess.

Grace

Instructor
Grace has loved math from an early age and loves being able to teach it to kids and help them grow in their enjoyment of math. When she’s not working or at school Grace enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.

Jamie

Instructor
Jamie has recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in math from the University of Washington, and is working towards obtaining a teaching certificate so she can work as a math teacher. She loves math, and is excited to help students learn new concepts, and master their current skills. Jamie is a mom to four kids, and in her spare time she likes to do puzzles, play board games, and play piano.

Aileen

Instructor
Aileen is currently pursuing a master degree in Biology. Her passion for teaching math and science has been a constant in her life, having provided tutoring and assistance to fellow students since her high school days. When she's not immersed in her studies or sharing her knowledge, you can find her at the indoor climbing gym, where she maintains her fitness, or exploring new destinations as she enjoys traveling.

Matthew W.

Instructor
Matthew has loved math since he was a kid and has been tutoring since high school. He completed his undergraduate degree in applied math from the University of Southern California. In his free time, Matthew enjoys doing crosswords and reading.

Morgan S.

Instructor
Morgan is a computer programmer and novelist, with a long-standing appreciation for mathematics and helping others. At Mathnasium, he aims to make the learning process fun and enjoyable for all students, in addition to improving their understanding and mastery of new concepts. In his spare time he enjoys distance running, writing, and playing golf.

Karenna W.

Instructor
Karenna is been interested in math since she was young and enjoys working with other students. She's excited to combine both of these interests by teaching math. Outside of Mathnasium, she likes playing tennis, spending time with friends and family, and playing various instruments.
