Mathnasium of South Charlotte is pleased to introduce our Owners, Dr. Simita Mishra and Ms. Rasika Tipnis.
Q: Why did you choose to own a Mathnasium center?
A: We are passionate about meeting the unique needs of every student who walks through the doors of Mathnasium. We believe in its individualized approach to building strong math foundations and confidence.
Q: What do you like about the city your Mathnasium center is located in?
A: South Charlotte is an ever-evolving community with families who are deeply committed to their children’s education and academic success.
Q: Can you think of any way your center has positively impacted the community?
A: We have worked with over 3,000 students in the South Charlotte community since 2006, supporting them in building confidence and long-term success in math.
Simita Mishra:
On a personal note, my own children have been Mathnasium students since 2021 and have truly excelled in math. The structured thinking skills they developed have been a lasting gift. Their experience led me to see Mathnasium as an outstanding community asset, which inspired me to take the step to become an owner when our very talented predecessor, Krista, decided to move on to her next chapter.
Q: What would you have liked most about Mathnasium if you had attended as a student?
A: We would have loved the encouragement from instructors, a comfortable and supportive environment to complete homework, and the opportunity to revisit and master concepts even after they were covered in school.
Q: What’s something fun you enjoy doing in South Charlotte?
A: Charlotte offers a vibrant mix of sports and outdoor activities. We enjoy local teams and attractions including the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte FC, Charlotte Knights, and the Charlotte Checkers. We also love spending time at the U.S. National Whitewater Center and exploring the city’s many parks and greenways.
