Krista graduated from East Carolina University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She has 30+ years of experience working with children in the classroom as well as private tutoring. In 2001, she earned National Board Certification, which measures a teacher's practice against high and rigorous standards through an extensive series of performance-based assessments. Krista opened Mathnasium South Charlotte in September of 2006. She is still very active and visible in the daily operations of the center. Krista understands the unique challenges facing today's teachers and students in the area of math instruction. She looks forward to providing an individualized program to each student that is thought-based, promotes problem solving/critical thinking and produces results.
Katie graduated from UNCC with a bachelors in elementary education and brings four years of elementary teaching experience to her role as Center Director. Her passion for helping students grow and her dedication to creating a positive learning environment make her a strong leader in supporting both students and staff. With a deep understanding of how children learn, Katie is committed to ensuring every student builds confidence and finds success in math. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm for education to the center and foster a community where learning thrives.
