Karenne brings over 10 years of tutoring experience, including working with students at the collegiate level. She first joined Mathnasium of South Coast Metro in 2019 and, after gaining experience at two other Mathnasium locations, returned in 2025 as Center Director.
Karenne is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment, partnering with families to help students build math skills, confidence, and a love of learning. She also enjoys developing talented instructors and strengthening Mathnasium's connection with the local community.
Outside the center, Karenne enjoys the beautiful Orange County outdoors, spending time with her 11-year-old pup, and staying active in the community.
Duyen graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a teaching credential. Over the course of her studies, she developed a strong passion for inspiring students to improve their math skills and see themselves as capable learners.
At Mathnasium, she enjoys creating a positive and engaging environment where students feel empowered to succeed. She values the chance to help learners build a solid foundation in math and looks forward to continuing to share her enthusiasm for the subject.
Sophia is pursuing an Engineering Associate’s degree at Irvine Valley College and plans to transfer to a UC. She is skilled in math through Calculus II and Introductory Statistics and enjoys exploring different ways to solve problems.
At Mathnasium, Sophia is dedicated to helping students grow in confidence and discover their own enjoyment of math. She loves encouraging learners to see challenges as opportunities and is excited to help them develop both skills and enthusiasm.
Huy holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UC Berkeley and a master’s in Applied Statistics from Cal State Long Beach. He currently works as a senior data analyst, applying math and computing to solve real-world problems. Alongside his professional career, he is passionate about teaching.
Huy has taught Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, as well as computer science and data analysis skills. At Mathnasium, he enjoys helping students strengthen fundamentals, deepen understanding, and gain confidence in their abilities.
My commitment is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child feels encouraged to learn and every family feels valued. I believe the best results come from a strong partnership between parents, students, and our instructional team. By understanding each family's goals, we can work together to help every student reach their fullest potential.
