Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Peter

Lead Instructor
Peter is a graduate of St. Charles North and is currently attending Elgin Community College in pursuit of a degree in mathematics. He has taken Calculus III and AP Statistics. Peter's favorite math class was Calculus I, II, and III. His favorite part of math is finding patterns in uncommon places. During Peter's senior year of high school he spent his study hall time tutoring in the math lab.

Daniel

Lead Instructor
Daniel is a recent graduate from Olivet Nazarene University with a major in computer science and a minor in math. He has always enjoyed math and the patterns he can find using math in everyday situations. He loves algebra and discrete math, and connecting them to programming. In his free time, he loves to code, work on his website, and play video games.

Will

Instructor
Will is a graduate of St. Charles North High School and is studying at Northern Illinois University to complete his Master of Accountancy. Math and history are core subjects that Will has been passionate about since a young age. Working at Mathnasium is a way for him to spread his knowledge and love for math.

Alyssa

Instructor
Alyssa is a graduate from St. Charles North High School, and currently attends Elgin Community College. She plans on transferring to DePaul University to study Communications and Film/TV. Her favorite topics in math are algebra and statistics. What she enjoys most about Mathnasium is working with the kids and being able to watch them succeed in math.

Gabby

Instructor
Gabby is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Finance and a BFA in Dance. Gabby has always had an appreciation for math and how it applies to real-world problems. She loves tutoring because she can help students learn in a fun way that shows them how we use math every day in our lives.

Jackson

Instructor
Jackson is a graduate from South Elgin High School and is currently attending Northern Illinois University as a math major, with the goal of getting a PhD in at least one field of mathematics and becoming a professor. His favorite part of math is when a new concept finally clicks, and he wants to help others understand math concepts too.

Evan

Instructor
Evan is a senior at St. Charles North High School, and is currently in Calculus III. In his free time he loves running, and is a Varsity Athlete in cross country as well as track and field. He would like to go into aviation in the future. He has always enjoyed doing math, and hopes to share his passion with others at Mathnasium.

Lyla

Instructor
Lyla is a sophomore at St. Charles East High School and is currently taking AP Precalculus. In her free time, she likes to play the cello, read, listen to music, and play tennis. Her favorite thing about math is the way that it can be applied to everyday life. She enjoys tutoring because she loves to see how the kids develop their math skills and succeed through the course of their learning.

Destiny

Instructor
Destiny is a graduate of Larkin High School and is now attending Northern Illinois University to major in computer science with plans to incorporate her passion for digital art in her future career. At Mathnasium, she enjoys being able to help students build their confidence to solve math problems and take on new math concepts. In her free time, she loves playing video games and drawing.
