Hi! My name is Lauren. I currently attend Pierce College. I love everything outdoors; camping, hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, you name it! I also love coffee and my dog. Growing up, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I am so excited to watch your children grow in math!

Pope

Lead Instructor
Pope grew up outside of Portland and attended Oregon State University. He loves music, cooking, sports, and movies. Outside of math tutoring Pope also works in nonprofit fundraising. He lives in Puyallup with his wife and their lab mix puppy.

Hey I'm Angie, a bit about me is that I'm a math major in college, and I'm a very fun loving person. Something I think about a lot is no one is the same but everyone has something they love.

Zoe

Seasonal Instructor
Hello, I’m Zoe! I was born and raised in the Puyallup area, and I’m currently studying STEM in university. Outside mathematics, I like reading fantasy, listening to 80s hits, and walking my dog. I’m excited to instill some of my love for math into your students at Mathnasium!

Christina

I began tutoring in college when I started helping local high school students with algebra and physics. Since then, I have worked with students from preschool through college in reading, writing, math, and study skills, but tutoring math is my favorite. I believe that anyone can learn anything if given the right tools and motivations. When I am not working I like to read, obsess over my favorite TV shows, make home improvements, and I am trying to teach myself how to cook and play the bagpipes (not simultaneously).

Hello, my name is Katie! I have a masters degree in education and have been teaching for 5 years. I love playing video games and exploring outdoors with my two dogs and husband. I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan belonging to the Hufflepuff house. I'm excited to bring my love of learning and math to the center and support your mathematicians growth and progress!

Hello, I'm Donovan. I've loved math since a very young age, which led me to study Physics at Pierce College. When I'm not nerding out about the universe, I like playing games with my sister or going for a bike ride to some music. Everyone has something special that drives them, and I love bringing out that spark!

Hello, my name is Sarah I am the RCD for Mathnasium of South Hill. I am excited to be a part of this journey, starting with our SH center from the beginning! I am a parent as well as a graduate of Pierce College. I have had a passion for working with children from a young age. My goal is to give the children in my community the tools and confidence they need to succeed!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
