Kam Ellis, M.Ed. has been in education for over 20 years. She has a master’s degree in education leadership and a bachelor's degree in business administration. She served as a classroom teacher for 10 years, providing instruction in math and science. She continued on to become an instructional coach, working with teachers on best practices, instructional strategies, background knowledge, and effective use of data. She also served as a curriculum specialist, writing curriculum and facilitating professional development to teachers at the district level. Kam knows the importance of students having a solid foundation in math. As a mother of a student who attended Mathnasium, she knows first hand that the Mathnasium Method helps improve achievement in school and promotes self confidence. She is committed to providing a positive, encouraging, learning environment that fosters a love for mathematics. Her goal is for students to be problem solvers and develop confidence in their abilities. Through consistent, targeted, effective instruction, students can achieve success in mathematics and beyond.
