Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Joseph Villarreal

Assistant Director

Joseph is a senior at the University of Houston–Clear Lake, working toward his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is passionate about making a difference in students' lives and finds joy in helping them strengthen their math skills and grow in confidence.

At Mathnasium, Joseph thrives in an environment where he can inspire students daily. Outside the center, he enjoys staying active through basketball and working out, as well as giving back through community involvement.

Jude Quaddumi

Lead Instructor

Jude is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Public Health. She has been a Mathnasium instructor since 2016 and continues to love the opportunity to help students build math confidence and develop a more positive relationship with learning.

She believes math should be empowering, not intimidating, and works hard to make each session supportive and rewarding. When she's not teaching, Jude enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her little sister.

Lily

Instructor

Lily is a student at the University of Houston pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with plans to earn a master’s degree and become a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is passionate about helping students feel more confident in math by making the subject less intimidating and showing them how meaningful and useful mathematics can be in everyday life.

Outside of her studies, Lily enjoys distance running and creating art. Her favorite math skill to teach is proportional reasoning because it is both fun and practical, with applications in many different areas of life.

Skylar

Instructor

Skylar is a senior at Clear Springs High School with a passion for scientific research and a love for helping students discover their own potential in mathematics. As an instructor at Mathnasium, her goal is to help students not only learn new concepts, but also challenge themselves and develop a deeper understanding of the material.

Skylar’s specialty is algebra, where she especially enjoys solving equations for variables because they feel like puzzles waiting to be solved. She believes that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can approach math with greater confidence and curiosity. Outside of Mathnasium, Skylar enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her younger sister.

Paul

Instructor

Paul is a University of Nebraska Alumni with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His favorite math topic is systems of equations.

At Mathnasium, his goal is to show students that math isn't as scary as it may seem at first. Outside of math, he enjoys bird watching, specifically water fowl, trying out new recipes, and designing circuits for his projects.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
