Mathnasium of SouthWest Boise's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
Middle school students learn key concepts including angles, shapes, congruence, and measurement, while developing strong spatial awareness and reasoning skills that support future success in geometry.
Following personalized learning plans, we guide students through topics such as proofs, triangles, circles, transformations, and the Pythagorean theorem, helping them truly understand how geometry works.
We support honors students and those preparing for math competitions with advanced proofs, coordinate geometry, and rigorous problem-solving, guiding them in developing college-ready skills and deeper mathematical insight.
At Mathnasium of Southwest Boise, our specially trained tutors work with K-12 students of all skill levels to help them truly understand and enjoy geometry through face-to-face instruction in a caring and fun group environment.
We help students connect geometric concepts to logical reasoning and real-world applications. As their understanding grows, so does their confidence to approach new problems with clarity and precision.
Our tutors use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques. We work with K-12 students both in-center and online, helping them develop lasting understanding of geometry.
In each session, students receive face-to-face instruction in a small-group setting where they strengthen problem-solving skills and deepen their understanding of geometric relationships and logic.
Students begin their Mathnasium experience with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skill level, knowledge gaps, and learning goals.
Using these insights, we create a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs. Our tutors then focus instruction on key topics such as angles, congruence, transformations, the Pythagorean Theorem, and proofs, ensuring they learn and master each concept step by step.

Dan Hintz
Regional Director / Co-Owner
Dan has always had a passion for helping people achieve their potential and a calling to teach math. After high school, he earned an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, before deciding to serve in the military. He served an Air Force tour in Germany as an F-16 fighter jet mechanic and fell in love with the mission and people. He decided to make the Air Force career and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Math at Central Washington University, while attending ROTC. He holds several Master of Science degrees related to his Air Force career. Dan served 22 years in the Air Force, leading thousands of men and women and managing a wide range of logistics programs, including the US President’s Air Force One fleet requirements, and many types of combat aircraft. He retired to spend more time with his wife and 6 children and to begin a lifelong dream of teaching math. He was voted Teacher of the Year by his high school students and earned 100% top ratings as a private tutor. Meanwhile, he was searching for why math seemed so easy to people in other countries, but was such a challenge to many Americans. He found the answer at Mathnasium and immediately joined in helping all students gain a true number sense and life-long confidence in math. He has taught, tutored and coached thousands of youth all his adult life. Dan and his team are committed to helping students grow their math skills and giving them the confidence to be or do whatever they want in life!

Camille
Instructor
I've taken Algebra 1-2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and am starting Pre-Calculus in high school. I've participated in many high school debates, performed several instrumental solos or in groups, participated in Sun Valley Music Festival and other music camps for several years, and have given many public speeches at school. I like to make animations, do graphic design, compose music and play instruments (violin, piano, and viola).
Fun Fact: When I was 9 years old, I chipped my front tooth biting the refrigerator handle, exaggerating to my mom how hungery I was that I could eat the fridge. (I just wanted chicken nuggets).
Favorite Number, Why?: 8, since its symmetrical both vertically and horizontally, and it looks like a standing infinity sign. It's just the best number.
Education: I go to a Christian homeschool group called Classical Conversations, and I am currently a junior in high school.
Why I love Mathnasium: I used to go to Mathnasium as a student and I loved both how engaging the environment was and how quickly I improved. It is a really nice and comfortable environment at Mathnasium.
