Mathnasium of Sparta wants to introduce you to our Owner, Mary Muller

Q: Why did you choose to own a Mathnasium center? A: We love the idea of using our skills to help kids improve their math skills. Both my husband (Ray) and I were math majors. We love the the energy and enthusiastic way Mathnasium approaches teaching. It's been a wonderful experience for us and we love being a resource in our community.

Q: What do you like about the city your Mathnasium center is located in? A: Our community is a small, tight knit rural community. It is has a beautiful landscape with glorious sunsets and mountain views. We have lots of wildlife, bears, bobcats, fox, turkey, bunnies, raccoons.... People love living here because we're away from all the city congestion, yet we are only about an hour outside of New York City, and 1.5 hours away from the Jersey Shore. So we can get to all those places easily, however, we get to live in a quaint little town as well.

Q: Can you think of any way that your center has positively impacted the community that it’s located in? A: Because we are a rural area, we don't have a lot of the services that other cities have, so the people here very much appreciate that we offer Mathnasium here. Also our town is big on shopping local and supporting small businesses.

Q: Did you like math when you were in grade school? A: Yes I did

Q: What do you think you would have liked most about Mathnasium if you had attended when you were in grade school? A: Meeting other kids and the prizes.

Q: One last question, what’s something fun you enjoy doing in Sparta? A: Definitely outdoor activities. Hiking, skiing, boating water park. We are near the Appalachian Trail, have lakes and mountains, so lots of outdoor activities to do here.
