Mary is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Sparta. She holds a BA in Math with a business minor and secondary education certification. Before opening her center, she worked in data management at the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
For the past six years, Mary has been in education and is passionate about helping students understand math in a way that makes sense to them. A Sparta resident for 14 years and a mother of four, she’s also a substitute teacher at Sparta Middle School and deeply connected to the community she serves.
Robin graduated from Vassar College with a BA in Mathematics and began her career as an actuary in New York City. After stepping away to raise her children, she volunteered in schools and tutored math locally.
Now in Sparta, Robin brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping kids develop confidence and a love for math. Her supportive and approachable teaching style encourages students to embrace challenges and succeed.
David holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from County College of Morris. He discovered his passion for teaching while helping others in both academics and martial arts.
At Mathnasium, David enjoys making math clear and engaging for students. Outside the center, he likes to play video games, read, and spend time with friends.
Joe is a sophomore at Princeton University, majoring in mathematics. He’s particularly interested in category theory and is studying first-order categorical formulations of math using elementary topoi.
Now in his fourth year at Mathnasium, Joe enjoys helping students see the elegant connections within math. He thrives on making advanced topics accessible and aims to learn something new every day.
