Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Ryan Carroll

Assistant Director

Ryan brings energy, patience, and a genuine love of math to every session. He is currently studying Finance at Western Governors University and has been drawn to math for as long as he can remember, especially the patterns and problem-solving behind the numbers.

His passion for teaching started early. In sixth grade, Ryan began helping a classmate who was struggling, and he quickly discovered how rewarding it is to make math click for someone else. At Mathnasium, Ryan focuses on creating a fun, encouraging environment where students build real understanding and lasting confidence.

Mark Minio

Lead Instructor

Mark loves helping students see math as something they can master with practice and patience. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Iona University and is especially interested in game theory, the kind of math behind strategy and decision-making.

Mark has enjoyed math his entire life, and he brings a calm, encouraging style that helps students stay motivated when problems get challenging. Outside the classroom, he is a Rubik’s Cube enthusiast who can solve many different types, a fun reflection of his problem-solving mindset.

Luke Cisco

Instructor

Luke brings a global, student-centered approach to teaching. He grew up attending international schools in India and Thailand, experiences that helped shape his passion for education. Over the years, he has directed science programs, served in nonprofit leadership, and taught band and guitar for 20 years, building the patience and communication skills that help students thrive.

Luke is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Secondary Education in Math and Science and loves helping students see learning as something exciting and meaningful. Ask him about his degree in marine biology or his scuba diving adventures.

Sahasra Sangu

Instructor

Hi, I’m Sahasra, and I’m a sophomore at AITE. I love challenging myself academically, and I’m currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC. I’ve always enjoyed helping others, whether it’s working through a tough math problem or simply being someone they can count on.

At Mathnasium, my goal is to make math feel clearer and more manageable, so students can build confidence step by step. Outside of school and Mathnasium, you can usually find me listening to music and spending time with my friends.

Aaron

Sekplorm-Awadzi

Hi, I’m Aaron, and I’m a graduate of Plymouth State University with a minor in Mathematics. I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and the logical side of math, which naturally led me to pursue it further during my studies.

I chose to become an instructor at Mathnasium because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand concepts that might initially seem confusing. Seeing students build confidence and improve step by step is what makes the experience rewarding for me. My goal is to make math feel more approachable and to support students in developing both their skills and confidence.

Outside of Mathnasium, I enjoy working on tech projects, especially those involving software and problem-solving, as well as spending time unwinding with music and soccer.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
