Janet Hammons

Instructor
Janet has been teaching Math in one capacity or another for over 40 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College, and began her career as a High School Math teacher in Vicksburg, MS. Janet has tutored high-level Math as a substitute teacher and as a College Adjunct Professor. Janet credits her High School Algebra teacher with “triggering” a deep love of Math. Janet and her husband enjoy Kayaking and Hiking when not helping our Mathnasium students. Janet relishes the opportunity to share her enthusiasm for learning with our students

Bradley Sohn

Lead Instructor
Bradley is a teacher at St. Augustine High School and has taught Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, AICE Thinking Skills, and Liberal Arts Math. Bradley graduated from Flagler College with a degree in Social Science Education. Our high school enrollees seeking help with “High Level” math and SAT prep, really value Bradley’s knowledge and extraordinary teaching style. Bradley strives to make sure that his students leave his classroom with a “curiosity” of mathematics and the world.

Christina Sohn

Lead Instructor
Christina is a teacher at St. Augustine High School in the Exceptional Student Education program. She helps students with disabilities acquire skills in Reading, Math, and Academic Skills, such as organization and self-advocacy. She graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor's in Education for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Elementary Education. She believes that all students are capable of learning and strives to inspire in her student's curiosity and passion for life

Koryn Keen

Lead Instructor
Koryn graduated from Bartram Trail High School and is starting as a student at the University of North Florida earning her major in nursing. She enjoys learning new things and teaching what she knows to others. In her free time she likes to draw and create jewelry and keychains out of wire.

Lucy Murray

Instructor
Originally from Massachusetts, Lucy obtained a Masters of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She later moved to Colorado where she completed a Masters in Taxation at the University of Denver and became a Certified Public Accountant. Throughout her career, she has worked as a consultant in marketing research, public accounting and employee benefits firms. Lucy moved to Florida where she has volunteered as a mentor through the Take Stock in Children program. She started tutoring math during the pandemic and is passionate about helping students gain the confidence and math skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Collin Camerford

My name is Collin and I go to Tocoi Creek High School.  I enjoy math because it can become very easy once you understand what to do.  Mathnasium gives me the chance to help others enjoy math too. 

Cole Camerford

My name is Cole, I am a junior at Tocoi Creek High School and am from Jacksonville. Math has always been my favorite subject, and my friends have always asked me for help. Mathnasium helps me be a better tutor to both the students here as well as well my friends! 

Isabel Shao

Hello!  I'm Isabel - currently a junior at Nease High School.  If I had to describe myself in two words I would say creative and logical. Math and art were always my favorite subjects in school!  I want to help students understand and enjoy math as much as I do.  In my spare time I like to explore my artistic side ranging from singing and playing instruments to painting.  

Brendan Gallagher

Hi my name is Brendan, I've lived here in Florida for 10 years after living in Virginia.  Outside of Mathnasium I spend time running track, spending time with friends and going to school at Tocoi Creek.  When I grow up I want to be a superhero!  I work here because I have a passion for math and love teaching and helping students understand math.

My name is Dayzha like Deja Vu! I'm 25 and have been passionate about working with these students since 2017. I believe creating deep and meaningful connections makes learning fun and engaging. I specialize in unique cases to help build foundational skills. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy thrifting, gardening and lifting!

Wendy McLeod

Center Director

Hi I'm Wendy, the newest Center Director.  I have a BS degree in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics.  I have spent the last 30 years in the clinical trials research industry.  I volunteer as the Children's Ministry Coordinator at Covenant Presbyterian.  Mathnasium allows me to combine my love for math and kids!  Seeing kids getting excited about math makes me happy!  In my spare time I love the beach, crafting and plants.
