Hello and welcome to Mathnasium of St. Charles!
My name is Hope Marie and I am our Center Director. I hold a Doctorate in Theology as well as a Master’s in Criminal Psychology. I attended the University of Michigan and love being a Lady Wolverine, All Hail The Victors!
I've held positions in the musical, political, fashion, and computer coding fields but have had a love for math since I was a kid. It’s application to life amazes me. I was blessed with parents who gave me a love for learning. My mom is who I get my love of grammar and computers, while my father is the reason I love math and history. I was fortunate enough to have a handful of amazing teachers who really helped me along the way, especially when I needed it the most.
I was born in the Chicagoland area but have lived all over the United States and travelled worldwide on numerous occasions. My motto in life is “I never try anything, I just do it, wanna try me?” and I pride myself on living every day to the absolute fullest. Life without purpose isn’t a life at all.
Mathnasium wasn't a planned destination on my career roadmap, but it has been the best adventure yet! Every day is something new! I get to share all that was shared with me and get to have fun while doing it! These little lives I am interacting with each day will go on to be the future of this world, and it is my honor to be a small moment in their journey in life.
Hi! My name is Christian and I’m currently studying Elementary Education at Waubonsee Community College. I previously studied chemical engineering for 2 years before realizing my love for teaching while working at Mathnasium. I have over two cumulative years working for Mathnasium as an instructor, Assistant Center Director, and Center Director. I have a passion for algebra and can’t wait to help your student(s) do the best they can in math!
I am currently a junior at St. Charles East High School taking Calculus BC. At STCE, I’m involved in many extracurriculars such as Math National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, our X-Ray school newspaper, and Educators Rising. I also volunteer through our Saints Helping Hawks program every week of the school year to help tutor middle school students and have lots of prior experience helping my siblings and peers through their coursework. I always enjoy working with students, as I find that helping others understand concepts enriches my learning as well. I’ve always had a passion for learning and discovery, and I enjoy helping Mathnasium students find that same passion through math. In my free time, I find joy in a lot of things in the arts such as drawing, writing, and music. I love finding ways to express my creativity, whether that’s at the piano or with a pen and paper.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
Are you interested in changing lives through math? We're looking for outstanding individuals with a high level of commitment who are passionate about teaching math. Find out if there's a Mathnasium position that's just right for you!
