Mathnasium of St. Matthews' personalized algebra tutoring programs are designed to guide students through every stage of their math journey.
We help students move from concrete to abstract reasoning, mastering integers, fractions, the order of operations, and introductory variables while building the algebraic reasoning needed for Algebra 1.
Our dedicated tutors support students through multi-step equations, linear functions, graphing, and word problems using personalized plans that turn this primary course into a confident foundation for future math success.
We work with students on fast-paced, complex topics like factoring polynomials, quadratics, exponentials, and logarithms to develop advanced problem-solving skills required for Precalculus and college-prep coursework.
At Mathnasium of St. Matthews, our specially trained math tutors assist students of all skill levels in learning and mastering algebra. We work with students in Prealgebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2, covering topics like expressions, equations, functions, graphing, polynomials, and exponential relationships.
We provide personalized, face-to-face instruction in a caring and engaging small-group environment. Our tutors use plain, everyday language, meet students where they are, and walk with them step by step to make algebra understandable and boost their confidence.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach designed to help students truly understand how algebra works while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our tutors combine proven interactive techniques with personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. This makes concepts clear, meaningful, and easier to apply both in class and in everyday situations.
Each student’s Mathnasium journey begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills, knowledge gaps, and goals. We use these insights to create a personalized learning plan that focuses on exactly what each student needs, whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
Once the plan is set, our tutors provide targeted, supportive instruction, adapting in real time to suit how the student learns best. This process helps students address skill gaps, reinforce foundational concepts, and build lasting confidence as they advance through algebra.
