We support students who love math with personalized enrichment, with programs for high-achieving elementary learners to competition preparation and advanced topics that inspire curiosity and mathematical excellence.
Students with a solid grasp of grade-level math can explore advanced concepts through our specialized program, developing algebraic thinking, justification and reasoning, strategic problem-solving, and flexible number sense that prepares them for future mathematical challenges.
Our tutors can train students for math competitions, including AMC, MathCounts, and Math Olympiad, developing the advanced problem-solving strategies, pattern recognition, and creative thinking techniques they need to perform confidently in competitive settings.
Students preparing for or currently enrolled in honors and accelerated courses can receive focused support that builds mastery of advanced topics, sharpens problem-solving skills, and develops the confidence and preparation needed to excel in rigorous coursework.
Mathnasium of Sudbury invites students in Sudbury who are performing at or above grade level to explore our personalized math enrichment programs.
From deepening understanding of current topics to preparing for accelerated programs, tests, and competitions, our program gives students the structure, challenge, and support they need to reach their full potential.
Our math enrichment program is built on the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that develops deep conceptual understanding and mathematical confidence.
We guide students to make connections across topics, sharpen their logical thinking, and approach complex problems with precision. Sessions take place through live, face-to-face instruction in a caring and engaging group environment, both in-center and online.
Every student's math enrichment journey begins with a diagnostic assessment that allows us to understand their current skills, strengths, and goals. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that goes beyond the school curriculum and is tailored to where they want to go.
Whether they're ready to explore advanced algebra, geometry, or number theory, we map out a clear path forward that keeps them challenged, engaged, and growing.

What do you like most about learning?
I cherish the opportunity to practice having an open mind and see something from a new perspective.
What is the biggest impact you’ve had on a student’s ability to become proficient in math?
The ability to boost a students confidence. By teaching a topic in a way they might not have seen before, struggling students can see that they are great at math, they just haven't found a strategy that works for them.
What type of math do you enjoy teaching most?
Any math I can make the student discover themselves. One common example is taking a hallowed out cylinder and cone and filling the cone with water. I then have the student see how many full cones it takes to fill a whole cylinder. Through this the student discovers themselves that a cylinder is always 3x the size a cone with the same radius and height.
How do you make learning math fun for students?
I allow students to take control of their own learning. If a student is curious about any part of math, not just what they're working on, I make sure to answer their question with enthusiasm. I also try to relate the math they're working on to their personal interests, especially if parts of their identity are not commonly represented in a typical math textbook.

What do you like most about learning?
I like learning because it challenges me to think in new ways and grow every day.
What is the biggest impact you’ve had on a student’s ability to become proficient in math?
The biggest impact I’ve had is tutoring a first grader in basic computation using standard algorithms, and they are now performing above their grade level in math.
How do you make learning math fun for students?
I make learning math fun for students by offering them rewards such as stars for completing challenge problems and simple timed challenges, like finishing a practice page in two minutes for double stars.
Whether they would like to attend sessions in-center or online, students can take 3 easy steps to enroll at Mathnasium.
All students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints what they already know and what they still need to learn.
