Brandon Meyers is a Center Director at Mathnasium and is an almost lifelong Las Vegas resident, having grown up in the Las Vegas Valley since middle school.
Prior to joining Mathnasium, Brandon spent 10 years in management roles, where he developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that he now brings into his work with students, families, and staff.
Brandon is very family-oriented and is a proud father of three daughters. He values building strong relationships with students and families and creating a supportive learning environment where students can grow in confidence and skill.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing video games.
Janiah is a senior at West Career & Technical Academy in the Digital Art & Design program. As a Mathnasium instructor, she enjoys helping students gain confidence and solve challenging problems. As hobbies, she enjoys music, digital art, and video games!
Nicklaus is a soon to be junior at UNLV, majoring in Accounting. Nick is here at Mathnasium to help students with their math skills. As someone who experienced taking math classes during the pandemic, he dislikes seeing students struggle with the subject. On his free time, he enjoys playing bass and studying his major.
I am a Senior at Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV. In my free time, I enjoy golf and running.
Greg retired after 27 years as a Mathematics teacher and high school administrator with the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, took a six-month break, and quickly realized that helping students with math was still where he wanted to be. In his spare time, he golfs, plays pickleball, and roots for the St. Louis Cardinals.
At Mathnasium, Greg works primarily with younger students and believes every child has a desire to learn and just needs the right motivation. Student smiles are his primary reward.
Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UNLV and has been with Mathnasium since 2018, where he discovered a real passion for breaking down concepts in ways that finally make sense to students. Outside the center, he works with a youth outreach program at Nellis and spends his free time with family and diving into anything that qualifies as nerdy.
Morgan's goal is straightforward: to convince every student he meets that math is not nearly as hard or scary as people tend to say.
Nadav joined Mathnasium for the teaching experience and found, session by session, that he genuinely loved helping students work through math. Outside the center, he is passionate about history and fantasy novels, with the Percy Jackson series sitting at the top of his list.
At Mathnasium, Nadav brings curiosity and care to his work with students, motivated by the feeling that he is making a real difference in how they understand and approach math.
Anna loves to teach math and science, especially in chemistry. She is a cybersecurity student hoping to earn a degree in the future. In her free time, she plays video games and watches anime.
Amira is a current student in the Biotechnology program at West Career and Technical Academy. She will be going into AP Calculus AB. She has a passion for helping others, especially aspiring students, driving her to start a chapter program at her school called STEMsters, a nonprofit program that aims to engage young students with STEM topics through hands-on activity and learning.
Chase is a student at West Tech studying engineering. In his free time, he likes to play video games and hang out with friends.
Chloe enjoys teaching math because she loves connecting with students on interesting subjects. She is currently a Biology major at Northwestern University and enjoys playing water polo, reading, and flying kites in her free time.
Cindy likes music and mainly plays piano as an instrument. She also enjoys swimming and related activities.
Dara enjoys English, math, and technical theater. She is always excited to teach kids math, to see students grasp new ideas, and to see their grades improve. When she is not at work, Dara is often reading or working on a creative writing project.
Emma is currently a nursing student at UNLV. She likes to hang out with her friends, travel, and dance. She loves teaching students and watching them grow.
Fangyu currently attends West Career and Technical Academy and is an incoming junior in the cybersecurity program. In his free time, he likes to play video games and basketball.
Malaia has always had an affinity for math, learning, and teaching it. In her free time, she plays with her dog and plays soccer.
Sierra is currently an environmental engineering Ph.D. student studying at UNLV. Sierra has worked at Mathnasium for many years and especially appreciates the working environment this tutoring center fosters. Sierra has a passion for math and helping others understand new concepts and achieve their goals. Sierra's interests include hiking, playing basketball, doing research, and spending time with friends and family.
Dan graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a B.S. in Microbiology and from Hofstra University's Graduate School of Business in 1990 with an MBA in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with public accounting firm Price Waterhouse and has built successful companies in various fields including real estate and executive recruiting. Dan's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. His mother was a highly regarded principal in Las Vegas for nearly 30 years. Dan has taught and tutored children of all ages and was a mentor for underprivileged children. Dan is committed to significantly increasing Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their overall school performance. "We provide lots of warm encouragement in a very positive learning environment so that children build their confidence and develop a winning attitude towards math. Our kids learn math in a way that makes sense to them. They get excited about math and this spirit carries over into everything they do."
Laurie graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Before joining Mathnasium, she built a successful career working with Fortune 500 high-tech companies, including IBM, SAP, EMC, TIBCO, and MicroStrategy.
Laurie’s passion for teaching and working with children is deeply rooted in her family values. Her father, a dedicated special education teacher, spent over 30 years shaping young minds in California. Following in his footsteps, Laurie is committed to empowering children in the Las Vegas community by improving their math skills, fostering a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, and building their confidence to succeed academically.
In addition to her work at Mathnasium, Laurie volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she advocates for the best interests of children in foster care. This role reflects her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and supporting their growth and well-being.
