Tony graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. After several years working in financial services as a mortgage banker, Tony shifted his focus toward education and opened Mathnasium of Mt. Pleasant in 2014. Since then, he has proudly served hundreds of students and their families.
Whether through coaching youth sports or leading golf camps, Tony has always been passionate about working with kids. He believes math is more than preparing for the next test—it’s about learning to think critically. A proud father of three, Tony is committed to building kids’ confidence through math.
Edward is a Charleston native and graduate of Buist Academy and Bishop England High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from Clemson University in 2007. Edward has served as the Director of Education at Mathnasium in both Mt. Pleasant and Summerville for several years.
Edward is passionate about helping students develop a deep understanding of math, not just to succeed in school but to become confident problem solvers in life. His calm demeanor, subject mastery, and love of teaching make him a favorite among both students and families.
Emma is a dedicated student at the College of Charleston, where she is majoring in Biology. She plans to begin nursing school at MUSC in the upcoming semester. Emma has been a part of the Mathnasium team since 2019 and brings years of experience working with students of all ages.
She excels at tutoring all levels of math, from foundational concepts to advanced topics. Emma’s nurturing personality and enthusiasm for teaching make her an outstanding mentor. She loves helping students build confidence and discover the joy in learning math.
Michelle proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Electrician’s Mate before earning her degree with honors from the College of New Jersey. She currently works as a substitute teacher for elementary and middle schools in the Charleston area and has been a Mathnasium instructor since 2020.
Michelle’s broad life experience and disciplined background give her a unique perspective when working with students. She enjoys teaching all levels of math and is especially skilled at helping students who need extra support to gain clarity and confidence in their learning.
Gabi is completing her degree in Mathematics and Education at the College of Charleston. Passionate about teaching, she is preparing for a career as a middle school math teacher and has gained hands-on experience through placements at Alston Middle and Haut Gap Middle Schools.
Known for her patience and positivity, Gabi brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. She excels in making complex topics accessible and engaging for students of all ages. Gabi is excited to continue helping students grow their math skills and confidence through her work at Mathnasium.
