Rio is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Sunnyvale and brings a strong passion for education and community empowerment. Originally from Southern California, she served in the Peace Corps in Colombia before moving to the Bay Area. There, she partnered with local schools and adopted her dog, Iggy, who now enjoys life in the States.
Rio believes every child deserves a champion, someone who builds confidence and helps unlock their full potential. She enjoys hiking, traveling, live music, and game nights with friends when she's not supporting students in math.
Srishti is the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Sunnyvale and brings valuable experience in both general and special education. She earned her bachelor’s in Health Sciences from CSU East Bay and a master’s in Special Education from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
Srishti is passionate about helping students build confidence and a lifelong love of learning. Born in India and raised in the Bay Area, she enjoys cooking Indian food, baking, listening to music, and is also a trained Bollywood dancer.
Patti has been a dedicated Lead Instructor at Mathnasium of Sunnyvale since 2019. She holds a BA in Legal Studies from UC Berkeley and an MBA from San Jose State University. Patti is passionate about helping students master core math concepts in a supportive, structured environment.
She values the personalized learning plans that the Mathnasium Method™ provides and enjoys seeing students grow in both skill and confidence. Patti continues to be inspired by her students’ progress every day.
Jumana is a high school senior with a strong academic interest in math and science. She aspires to pursue a degree in the sciences and eventually become a physician.
At Mathnasium, Jumana enjoys helping fellow students develop their understanding of math while preparing for her own college journey. She is dedicated to making math more approachable for younger learners.
Saavan Saraf is a high school junior and joined Mathnasium in 2024. He has had a passion for teaching and math for many years, starting with his own tutoring business. Saavan believes that every student has a different way of learning, and encouraging them to enjoy math is just as important as getting them to do it.
Diva is a senior in high school, and was previously a student at Mathnasium. She enjoys teaching math to her sister, and has taken a leap into teaching Math while also learning advanced Calculus.
Nidhi has been teaching math for 10+ years. Having graduated with BS and MS degrees in Mathematics, she has developed a strong passion for teaching math. She has also earned an associate degree in Business. Currently, Nidhi is working as a Substitute teacher for elementary, middle, and high schools in the Santa Clara County, from which she has gained immense experience teaching math in a school setting. She is proficient in all math levels, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. She strives to engage students and help them develop problem-solving skills so that they can gain confidence in math. Through Mathnasium, Nidhi has found a way to utilize her passion for teaching and love for Mathematics while helping students visualize concepts.
