Julia Lou

Assistant Center Director
Hi, my name is Julia and I'm a current college student planning to major in chemistry. Growing up I often found myself struggling with math. But with the right mentors and the right attitude, I grew to realize just how fun numbers can really be! My goal as a math instructor is to help other students excel at math and see the subject in a positive light. I hope that by working together we can make that a reality!

Stephen Shu is from Southern California. He attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics/Statistics and graduated summa cum laude. He also likes to see how math can be applied by finding connections to diverse fields of study such as economics, chemistry, computer science, and even puzzles, art, music, and culinary. He is fascinated whenever he sees math in the natural world. He sees math as an adventure and is passionate about bringing the gift of math to the next generation so they can explore and satisfy their curiosity.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
