Laura

Assistant Center Manager
Laura earned a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry from the University of Mississippi in 2007. After working as a forensic scientist for several years, she returned to academia and earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2017. In addition to the quantitative analysis coursework required by her chemistry degree program, mathematics-specific courses in college included Calculus and Analytical Geometry I & II as well as Statistics. Graduate-level coursework included Biostatistics. Laura and her family have lived in Tallahassee for over six years. She and her husband have two daughters who attend Leon County Schools. Laura routinely volunteers in the classroom and for various activities hosted by the local schools. It always brings a smile to her face to see her Mathnasium students at school events, where she cheers for them just as loudly as she does for her own children.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
