Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Tiffany C.

Center Director
Tiffany has an Associate's Degree in Math and Science from Golden West College and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne. Her background was accounting until she home schooled her son in middle school and began tutoring. She loves math because, like accounting, it is a universal language. She enjoys growing succulents and being with her family.

Chris F.

Assistant Center Director
Chris graduated from Palomar College with his Associate's Degree in Mathematics. Math was his least favorite subject throughout middle and high school and knows how frustrating and impossible it can seem at times. He learned math to formulate winning strategies for games and now appreciates the subtleties math has to offer. Chris is now finishing his Math-Education degree at CSUSM with the intention of becoming a math teacher.

Charles R.

Lead Instructor
Charles has degrees in Math and Economics from UCSD. Math has always come naturally to Charles which is why it is no surprise that he is a fantastic tutor. He enjoys the interaction with children because they have bright and eager personalities and he wants to show the students that math can be fun.

Kim R.

Lead Instructor
Kim is a student at MSJC aiming for a Neuroscience degree. She has experience in tutoring through the San Dieguito Alliance: STUDY BUDY program since high school. “Math is the core to understanding”, something she’s always known and hopes to teach younger students. Kim envisions herself maintaining a passionate and understanding manner towards education, while balancing her love for music.

Anndy A.

Instructor
Anndy entered UC Davis with a 5 on his AP Calculus exam, and has been called "the nicest instructor in Mathnasium". He has had a diet of potatoes, and enjoys making homemade fries. Anndy loves working with talkative students, because they will explain their thought process (or show that they aren't focused on their work!)

John Paul M.

Instructor
John Paul graduated from Cal State San Marcos with a B.S. in Theoretical Mathematics, then went on to get his M.S. in Applied Mathematics from San Diego State University, and is currently attending the University of Redlands with the intention of becoming a teacher in the future. John Paul has always loved math (and loved learning math!), and has 10 years of tutoring experience. He doesn't believe that anyone is just "born good" at math -- anyone can become a math person! Aside from math, John Paul loves gaming, his cats, and hanging out with his friends.

Sal M.

Instructor
Sal is currently a student at MSJC, with the intention to study Data Science and transfer to either UC Irvine or UC San Diego in the future. Sal has always done well in math, and finds that taking advanced classes in the past has helped him to better learn to navigate how to deal with stress. Mathnasium is the perfect fit for him because he enjoys talking to people, and wants to help students learn from his past experiences in school. Outside of the center, Sal's hobbies include clothes, music, and keeping up with sports.

Maya H.

Instructor
Maya is currently a rising high school student. As someone who grew up playing sports her whole life, Maya is passionate about self-improvement and golfing -- in fact, she is the captain of her school's varsity girls golf team! Maya is currently taking AP Statistics in school, and plans to move to Washington to attend university in the future. In her spare time, Maya enjoys hiking and rock climbing.

Kyara R.

Instructor
Kyara is currently a student at Cathedral Catholic High School, and aspires to one day major in architecture. Kyara enjoys exercising her artistic talents through singing, painting, and drawing. Outside of the center, Kyara loves the beach and amusement parks, and enjoys eating spicy chips and sushi.

Ben C.

Instructor
Ben graduated from Julian Charter School's home study program. He is currently taking calculus and physics, and math has always come easy to him. He plans on attending MSJC after graduation. Ben's hobbies include cooking, baking, and gaming.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
