Mathnasium of Temple City
Opening June 22, 2020
Greetings Parents! Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we dealt with California’s state-wide Stay At Home orders. As we reopen, we are changing some policies and center practices to better protect our students and instructors.
*New Operating Hours
Monday to Friday. 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Schedule only)
*Additional days and extended hours may be added to accommodate increased demand.
Face Coverings: All students and employees must wear a face mask. We cannot make exceptions at this time.
If your student needs a face mask, please contact us ahead of time.
Waiver: Parent will need to complete a liability waiver form before starting the session.
Student Health: If your student is feeling sick or has a runny nose, cough, fever, etc., we will reschedule your session when they feel better.
When your child enters the center, we will use a non-contact infrared thermometer to check the temperature and help them to sign in. Students do not need to use the tablet to sign in/out anymore. They will be asked to use hand sanitizer on the front and sit in one of the assigned individual “waiting” tables. Once the instructional tables have been thoroughly sanitized, your child will be directed to their instructor and Center Director will deliver their binder to the table.
Only students and instructors are allowed to be inside the center, and we will limit to 6 students per instructional hours. We will use sneeze guard between student and instructor and each student will sit at least 6 feet apart from each other. After your child’s session has ended, we will sign them out. They will sanitize their hands again and sit in one of the assigned individual “waiting” tables waiting to be picked up. We will clean the waiting and instructional area before the next student sits. Our staff will wipe down their binder and return it to the shelf.
All high traffic surfaces will be cleaned hourly. Student binders will now be handled by staff only, and students will have their own pencils, erasers, scratch paper and reward cards inside their binder. We will still have all of our prizes and fun rewards! The Center Director and Instructors will be glad to retrieve rewards your child requests. If the student chooses to have a snack as the reward, we will get it for them, but they are not allowed to eat at the center at the moment.
We take great satisfaction in being a student first organization at Mathnasium of Temple City. In addition to these changes to the center, we have also installed two 4-stage HEPA air purifiers to ensure the best air quality and promise to adhere to strict cleaning guidelines. We will continue to adopt additional safety measures as they are announced by CDC/WHO. There is nothing more important to us than providing a safe, positive and fun atmosphere for your children to learn. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out. Spots will fill quickly but we will do our best to make sure we can serve everyone interested in joining Mathnasium of Temple City! We look forward to seeing you soon!
