Ixchel is the Center Director at Mathnasium and an educator with a background in Engineering, Math Education, and a Master’s in Educational Technology. A former math teacher, she’s passionate about inspiring students and helping shape the next generation of STEM learners.
Originally from Tempe, Arizona, Ixchel (pronounced E-shell) has lived in Seattle and recently made Florida her new home. Outside of work, she enjoys running, basketball, spin class, and yoga. A proud Swiftie and cat enthusiast, she brings energy, creativity, and care to everything she does at Mathnasium.
Damian brings over two decades of experience as both an educator and business professional to his role as Associate Center Director. He holds a B.A. in Education from Oakland University and spent 20 years teaching high school social studies and coaching before transitioning into contract management.
His return to education has rekindled his passion for teaching and mentoring students. Damian believes in equipping today’s learners with the skills and confidence to thrive in an evolving world and is proud to support families through the Mathnasium Method.
Christina is the Lead Instructor for Mathnasium of Tallahassee and Tallahassee South, known for her enthusiasm, empathy, and dedication to student success. She uses her positive attitude and energy to motivate students, encouraging them to approach math with confidence and curiosity.
Guided by her favorite quote from J.R.R. Tolkien—“It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folks that keep darkness at bay”—Christina strives to be a light for her students. She loves helping them discover their potential and watching their confidence grow with every breakthrough.
Jodi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Math from Hope College, a Master’s in Math Education, and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. She’s also a certified gifted instructor with two decades of classroom experience.
Over the years, Jodi has taught students from 8th grade through IB Math Studies. She loves seeing the moment a concept “clicks” and believes that with patience, encouragement, and the right tools, every student can achieve success in math.
Lauren earned her Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Central Florida, focusing on Mathematics Education and Psychology. Her academic background includes advanced coursework in Calculus, Differential Equations, and Statistics, which she now uses to mentor both instructors and students.
Since joining Mathnasium in 2011, Lauren has helped countless learners find joy and confidence in math. She believes the subject should be both challenging and enjoyable and is passionate about helping students transform frustration into understanding and excitement.
