Mathnasium Turlock Celebrates Pi Day with Fun-Filled Event for Families

Mar 10, 2023 | Turlock

On Tuesday, March 14th, from 5 pm to 7 pm, Mathnasium Turlock will be hosting a special Pi Day celebration that will include games, activities, a Pi Day Champion contest, a raffle, and lots of Pies.

Pi Day, founded by Physicist Larry Shaw, is celebrated around the world on 3.14 in honor of the mathematical constant Pi, represented by the Greek letter 𝜋. Pi represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and has a value of approximately 3.14. With numerous applications in mathematics, science, and engineering, Pi Day provides an opportunity to learn and appreciate mathematics and its applications in our daily lives.

"We are thrilled to be celebrating Pi Day with our Turlock community,” said Ramona Eshagh, Center Director of Mathnasium Turlock. “Our goal is to provide opportunities for kids to engage with math concepts in a fun and interactive way while building their confidence. Pi Day is a day to have fun with math, engage in hands-on activities and challenges, and learn more about the significance of pi and its applications."

Everyone is invited to join in the celebration. The event is open to students of all ages and math levels, and no prior math knowledge is required to participate. The event is designed to make learning about math fun and engaging for kids of all ages and includes fun-filled activities that help kids learn about pi, circles, and other math concepts.

Date: March 14, 2023 Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Location: Mathnasium of Turlock 2842 Geer Road, Turlock
