Helen Feng

Instructor
Helen recently graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in the class of 2023. With a keen interest in mathematics, she decided to become a tutor at Mathnasium a year ago. She enjoys sharing her passion for math with younger students. In her free time, she loves singing and dancing.

Simon Bordoli

Instructor
Simon is a sophomore at the Urban School of San Francisco. He is the president of the school’s student-run investment club, a peer tutor for Mandarin Chinese, and a member of the Varsity teams for soccer and tennis. His hobbies include building Lego, reading science-fiction novels, and watching soccer. His favorite element of math is the importance of understanding the underlying concepts rather than simply knowing the correct answer—it is important to know why you’re right, not just that you are right. This approach encourages learning rather than memorization! He is excited to share his passion for math with Mathnasium students.

Madison Lok

Instructor
Madison is a senior at the Nueva Upper School in San Mateo. She enjoys the logical order of math and hopes to help children better understand this process. Outside of academics, she enjoys doing and experiencing arts.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
