Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Harrison Friedman

Educational Director

Harrison brings a unique blend of STEM and the arts to his role as Educational Director at Mathnasium of Union Square and Upper East Side. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Binghamton University, where he also embraced his artistic side in theatre and a cappella performance.

Since joining Mathnasium in 2017, Harrison has led with warmth, insight, and an unwavering belief in the power of math education. He sees Mathnasium as more than a place to learn math—it’s where students gain confidence, build trust, and learn how to keep going, even when things get tough.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
