Hey guys! It's Mara! I hold my Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, Global Campus. I am a Charles County native and love working with students of all ages.
I am known for my high energy and enthusiasm. I am always trying to create a fun, engaging learning environment that help students build confidence and feels likes a safe learning space. My favorite number is 15 because it's my birthday!
Fun fact: In my spare time I enjoy swimming, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends and family!
Jimmy holds his degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a Calvert County native, he has a lifelong passion for math and loves working with students of all ages.
Known for his high energy and enthusiasm, Jimmy enjoys creating fun, engaging learning experiences that help students build confidence. His favorite number is 7 because of its magical decimal expansion. Favorite math joke: “I’ll do algebra, trigonometry, and statistics, but graphing is where I draw the line!” Fun fact: he can do ground flips!
Mr. Tanner came to Mathnasium with a passion for problem- solving, and a desire to help others. He has actively engaged in multiple NASA HUNCH projects, demonstrating my commitment to STEM. There is not a math topic Tanner has yet to make fun to learn in the center. You have a problem? He has an answer and some cool facts to pair with!
Timothy Martinez is a senior at North Point High School with plans to pursue a degree in engineering. He encourages students to explore the wide range of career opportunities that math can unlock.
Known around the center as the team’s jokester, Tim keeps the learning environment light and engaging while helping students strengthen their math skills. He enjoys showing others that learning math can be both meaningful and fun. With a natural ability to connect with students, Tim brings energy and a positive attitude to every session.
Hi, my name is Christian. I grew up here in Waldorf and then got a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Maryland Collegepark. My favorite number is 15 because it’s my birthday and a fun fact about me is that I’m a scuba diver. My favorite math topic to teach is the unit circle!
