We had not one, but two local experts join us this week! First, we met Mrs. Nicki, a former 911 operator. Together, students learned the importance of longitude and latitude for 911 operators. Then, we worked with Mr. Micah on different ways to save, and invest while keeping up with expenses. Lastly, we wrapped up our week with making Oobleck - a non-Newtonian fluid which means it has properties of both liquids and solids. Stay tuned for next week- STEAM TEAM challenge week!
Go to Google Maps and right click any pin to see its latitude and longitude coordinates - see if you can find the latitude and longitude of Mathnasium! Check out this video on how to make your own Oobleck: https://www.pbs.org/parents/crafts-and-experiments/how-to-make-oobleck
