Melissa is the dedicated Center Director at Mathnasium, passionate about helping students excel in math. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University. Before Mathnasium, she worked as the NAF Academy Director of Engineering for Collier County Public Schools, where she inspired students to build confidence in STEM.
Melissa loves to travel—her favorite destination so far is Tokyo, Japan. She also enjoys spending time with her family, beach trips, and volunteering with a high school robotics team. In her free time, she likes solving puzzles and exploring new adventures.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Florida, where they also earned a Certificate in Secondary Math Education through the UF Teach program. Their passion for math education began in high school, tutoring subjects ranging from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC. Since then, they have worked with several informal education organizations, including the Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa and the Warren Willis Camp in Leesburg.
Christian first joined Mathnasium as an instructor at the Dr. Phillips center, immediately resonating with the structured, individualized approach of the Mathnasium Method. Having worked in a variety of math education roles, they quickly appreciated how Mathnasium allowed them to meet students exactly where they were and help them grow in confidence and ability. Beyond mathematics, he has lifelong love of Dungeons & Dragons, epic fantasy, and science fiction. In their free time, they enjoy nature walks and playing tennis.
Jodi holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Math from Hope College and a Master’s in Math Education and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. She has been teaching for over 20 years, covering all levels from 8th-grade math to IB Math Studies.
A certified gifted instructor, Jodi loves watching students achieve that "lightbulb moment" when they grasp a difficult concept. She firmly believes that with the right tools and support, every student can succeed and excel in math.
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Mathematics Education and Psychology. She has mastered math skills in College Algebra, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, and Statistics.
Lauren’s passion for math education began in high school and continued throughout her college years. Since joining Mathnasium in 2011, she has loved inspiring students to see math as both challenging and enjoyable. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students build confidence and discover a love for math.
