Melissa is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Wellesley. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Public Policy and has a strong interest in the science of learning. Her experience includes tutoring K–12 students and creating a curriculum that teaches young people how to run for office. Melissa is passionate about math equity and believes everyone is a “math person.”
She helps students connect math to everyday life, making it enjoyable and memorable. Outside of work, she loves exploring new coffee shops, listening to psychology podcasts, cooking, and taking long walks around Boston.
Julia brings a love of math and a dedication to creating engaging learning environments to her role at Mathnasium. With a background in private school instruction, she has a strong track record of helping students gain confidence and develop a deeper appreciation for math.
She believes that all students can succeed with the right support and is committed to building a warm, encouraging classroom culture. Julia is excited to help foster a math-loving community at Mathnasium of Wellesley.
Scott holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree from New York University. With over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience across all grade levels, he brings a thoughtful, conceptual approach to math instruction.
Scott especially enjoys helping students develop strong problem-solving frameworks and watching their confidence grow as concepts begin to click. He is dedicated to making math more accessible and enjoyable for every learner.
Julie began her Mathnasium journey as the first Education Director at West Newton and has since advanced to lead operations across multiple centers. She holds a Master’s degree and is passionate about helping students experience the “lightbulb moment” that makes math exciting and rewarding.
Julie loves building relationships with students and helping them make meaningful connections between math and everyday life. She is proud to support the team in delivering an exceptional learning experience.
Myrtha holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Information Technology from M.I.T. Before opening the first Mathnasium center in Massachusetts, she built a successful career in consulting at Oracle Corporation.
As a Newton parent, Myrtha understands the community’s strong commitment to academic excellence. She is proud to offer a program that makes math make sense, and fun, for kids. With her background in the Singapore Math system, she values the way Mathnasium transforms math learning into something students look forward to.
