Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Carol Petty

Lead Instructor
Hi, my name is Carol and I've been working at Mathnasium since 2019, right after I retired. I spent most of my career working in IT for Vanguard, but my major in college was Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I've taught elementary math, middle school math, and even a college Algebra class. I also have a Masters in Math Education. I am so glad I found Mathnasium; it's been so rewarding to get back to my roots as a Math teacher by working with our Mathnasium students. I have found the Mathnasium program to be very effective with all ages. The best feeling ever is when a student looks at me and says, "so THAT'S why that works that way!" When they understand the concepts behind their math problems, it is much easier to remember how to solve them!

Jenna Bradley

Instructor
My name is Jenna and I'm a Junior in college studying Political Science, with a minor in Computer Science. Recently in my free time, I've enjoyed working on writing my second novel, going hiking, and playing video games. I love being a Mathnasium instructor because the kids are so much fun, and nothing brightens my day more than when they feel confident in themselves about what they're learning!

Josie Gallop

Instructor
My name is Josie and I'm a student at West Chester University studying Computer Science. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing video games and drawing. I like being an instructor at Mathnasium because I've always enjoyed math and learning how to solve new problems, and it's great getting to share that enjoyment with someone else. It makes me happy whenever I can help a student understand a new concept or how to solve a difficult problem they're working on!

Jonah Hilt

Instructor
My name is Jonah and I am a sophomore in high school. I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with friends. I like working at Mathnasium because it’s great to see a student's face light up when they finally understand a concept they were struggling on!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
