George
Instructor
George is currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic University, Pomona. His passion for problem-solving and understanding how things work naturally led him to this field, and he has developed strong analytical skills along the way. As a child, George participated in the Math Olympiad, which sparked his early interest in mathematics. During high school, he tutored math as part of the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) volunteer program as well as other smaller tutoring centers as summer jobs. Helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their mathematical abilities has always been rewarding for him, and he is excited to continue assisting others on their academic journey. In his free time, George enjoys playing the piano, building model kits, and reading. These hobbies keep him creative and detail-oriented—skills he applies in his teaching sessions.
Isabelle
Instructor
Isabelle is passionate about both mathematics and helping children. She has been involved in various programs aimed at helping different types of students and has tutored children in the past. Seeing students grow their confidence as they learn more concepts and become proficient in them is a rewarding experience that inspires her to be the best instructor for them as she can. Her love for mathematics started when she was a little girl in elementary school and she believes that a large part of her love stemmed from the teachers she had. Having teachers that truly care about the content that they’re teaching helped her realize that learning math could be fun, which is why she aims to connect with students as they push themselves to learn new things.
Aaron
Instructor
Aaron graduated from UC Berkeley as an Applied Mathematics major with a focus in Economics. He has had a lifelong interest in math and how the ideas and skills learned from math can be applied to many aspects of everyday life. What he enjoys most about tutoring is figuring out the most efficient and best ways for individual students to learn concepts. He knows from personal experience how one person/way of thinking can flip a student’s view on a problem or even math as a whole, and he wants to play a similar role for the students of Mathnasium. He also wishes to give all students the abilities and resources to be skilled in and appreciate the field of mathematics, which can uncover a newly found interest in math or other subjects. In the future, he aspires to be a data analyst or have a career in finance, understanding how a data set can relate to itself or crunching financial numbers. In his free time, he likes to go to metal/punk concerts and the gym, as well as watch baseball and MMA.

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.

No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
