Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Staci Gehlbach

Staci is proud to co-own Mathnasium of West Des Moines, where she enjoys working alongside her husband Dan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Texas Lutheran University and has taught in school districts across Texas, Nevada, and Iowa.

With a deep love for teaching and helping students grow, Staci brings warmth and dedication to every interaction. She is especially excited to support families in the community as their children build strong math skills and confidence.

Meg Meyer

Lead Instructor

Meg graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Special Education endorsement. Originally from Waukee, she has always known she wanted to work with kids and is thrilled to do so at Mathnasium.

Meg finds joy in watching students experience those “aha” moments with math. She loves helping children build confidence and truly understand the subject. Her favorite number is 25 because it's a perfect square and a quarter of 100.

Michael Bellinghausen

Lead Instructor

Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from AIB College of Business and currently works in the accounting department at Hy-Vee’s corporate office. He enjoys helping students build math confidence and find success through hands-on guidance.

Michael finds great pride in watching students gain understanding and problem-solving skills. His favorite number is 4, tied to a special childhood memory of his fourth Christmas.

Michael Fries

Lead Instructor

Michael is a math and philosophy major from New York with a passion for both numbers and music. An accomplished singer, he has performed the national anthem for over a dozen MLB teams and was named Long Island Idol in 2007.
