Macy is the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of West Grove. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics. Macy is passionate about helping students build confidence and strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts in a fun, engaging way.
Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys attending Angels baseball games and exploring Southern California.
Alex is a student at UC Irvine working toward a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He is also part of the CalTeach program, preparing for a future career as a high school math teacher. Alex especially enjoys abstract mathematics, viewing it as an art form focused on appreciating concepts rather than just applying formulas.
Along with his love of algebra and calculus, Alex brings enthusiasm and humor to his teaching. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and keeping up with the latest internet trends.
Nathan is currently attending Cypress College and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He enjoys using math as a foundation for problem-solving and supporting students in their learning.
Outside of academics, Nathan plays the flute, piccolo, and piano. He also enjoys composing music and playing video games in his free time.
Diana hopes to become a high school math teacher in the future so she can help students discover that math does not have to be difficult. Although she has always gravitated toward math, it was in college that she truly discovered her passion for the subject.
She is inspired by teachers who never gave up on her and aims to provide that same encouragement to others. In her free time, Diana enjoys watching movies, hiking, and going to the beach.
Erik is a student at the University of California, Los Angeles with a strong passion for math. He enjoys exploring why formulas work and finds great reward in helping others experience the moment of understanding when a problem finally makes sense.
In his free time, Erik enjoys swimming, running, and playing tennis. When relaxing at home, he likes to watch shows, movies, and even spend time doing more math.
