Keith

Director of Operations

Keith works closely with both students and parents to ensure progress is clear, measurable, and meaningful. He values open communication and helps families stay engaged with the learning process, creating a strong partnership that supports student growth.

Energetic and patient, he is always ready to listen and provide guidance when challenges arise. He emphasizes deep understanding of each concept, helping students build a strong foundation that allows them to extend, connect, and apply their learning with confidence in the future. 

Mr.Ising earned his Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Connecticut and has proudly served the Mathnasium community for over eight years. Outside the center, he is a devoted American football fan and proudly roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kitty

Center Director

Kitty McC brings thoughtfulness, clarity, and a deep commitment to student growth. With a background in mathematics and philosophy, Kitty works primarily with Geometry and Calculus students while drawing on years of elementary teaching experience to meet learners where they are.

Kitty’s goal is to foster a positive relationship with mathematics—one rooted in curiosity, humility, and careful reasoning. By emphasizing understanding over memorization, Kitty helps students build confidence, ask meaningful questions, and approach challenges with persistence. Whether supporting foundational skills or advanced concepts, Kitty is dedicated to helping students develop both mathematical competence and confidence.

Adithya

Lead Instructor

Adithya is a Computer Science student at the University at Albany and a valued member of the Mathnasium team. He specializes in Algebra and Pre-Algebra, helping students develop strong foundational skills through clear explanations and steady, patient guidance.

With a calm demeanor and a supportive, student-centered approach, Adithya meets learners at their own pace and makes even complex topics feel approachable. He leads by example among instructors and encourages students to ask questions, build confidence, and take pride in their progress. Especially skilled at working with high school students, Adithya is committed to helping learners develop the skills and mindset needed for long-term academic success.

Taylor

Lead Instructor

Taylor is a mathematics major at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A finalist in the international M3 Math Competition, Taylor brings strong analytical thinking, creativity, and enthusiasm to every session.

With a genuine love for mathematical structure and reasoning, Taylor enjoys helping students uncover the beauty and logic behind math concepts. Known for making problem-solving approachable and engaging, Taylor encourages curiosity and confidence in learners at all levels. Outside the classroom, Taylor enjoys sewing and tailoring clothes—bringing the same care, precision, and creativity to both math and design.

Aislyn

Regents Instructor

Aislyn works with students to help them strengthen their math skills and develop confidence in the center. A Junior at UAlbany studying Computer Science, she brings curiosity and enthusiasm to every session. Outside the center, Aislyn enjoys cooking, Literature, watching movies, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends. Her favorite book is Fourth Wing.

Katherine

Regents Instructor

Katherine enjoys helping students build strong mathematical foundations with patience and care. She is a graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she earned a degree in Economics and Biology, bringing both analytical thinking and a well-rounded perspective to her work with young learners.

Katherine values patience and connection, helping students feel comfortable as they develop confidence in their math skills. Outside the center, she enjoys playing volleyball, walking her dogs, traveling when she can, and spending time with her large family. Her favorite color is blue, and one of her favorite books is The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.

Jonathan

Regents Instructor

Jonathan enjoys helping students strengthen their problem-solving skills and develop confidence in their abilities. He is a student at the University at Albany, where he studies Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, a field that reflects his interest in technology, investigations, and analytical thinking.

Jonathan values patience and clear explanations, working to make challenging material feel approachable and manageable. He believes that building confidence is a key part of learning and enjoys seeing students make progress over time. Outside the center, Jonathan enjoys boxing, fitness, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite color is blue.

Najib

Pre-Algebra Instructor

Najib brings a strong academic foundation and a well-rounded technical background to the center. He graduated from the University at Albany with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. His studies included advanced coursework in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, equipping him with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Najib has experience working with students across a wide range of levels, from middle school through SAT preparation. His time as a math tutor helped him develop a patient, structured approach, where he focuses on clear explanations and encouraging independent problem-solving. Outside the center, he enjoys graphic design, building computers, and programming.

Hamsini

Pre-Algebra Instructor

Hamsini works with students to help them build confidence and strong foundational math skills in the center. A dedicated student of math and science herself, she brings both enthusiasm and personal experience with Mathnasium to guide learners through challenges to successes. 

Hamsini values curiosity and persistence, encouraging students to explore concepts at their own pace and celebrate their progress. Outside the center, she enjoys video games like Genshin Impact, watching YouTube, and serving as Vice President of her school’s Science Olympiad Club.

Jordan

Pre-Algebra Instructor

Jordan brings a strong foundation in mathematics and a passion for helping others learn. Currently studying Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at the University at Albany, he has completed advanced coursework including Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics.

Jordan enjoys breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapting his approach to each student's learning style. Through his leadership roles in student organizations, he has developed a talent for making challenging topics engaging and accessible. His goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop a positive relationship with mathematics.

Isabella

Pre-Algebra Instructor

Isabella is a graduate of Villanova University with a major in mathematics and a minor in communication. She brings five years of experience working with children in an education setting and is enthusiastic about helping students build their confidence with solving challenging problems. Comfortable with all types of math, Isabella brings a positive and encouraging attitude. Outside of work, Isabella enjoys playing guitar and writing music as well as creating movies, writing stories, and all things Disney.
