Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Weston

Sal

Sal started with Mathnasium as an instructor in 2010 while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University. He has mastered math skills in areas including Calculus, Trigonometry, and Differential Equations. After becoming Center Manager, he has coupled his love and expertise in math with a newfound knack for management. Sal believes that the best way to inspire a student to take an interest in math is to have them find links to math in everyday life. He strives to ensure that the students at Mathnasium have an exciting, energetic, and welcoming environment to learn math.

Sebastian

Sebastian is a high school senior who has worked with Mathnasium for over a year. In school, Sebastian likes to challenge himself with rigorous AP and AICE courses spanning across a variety of subjects. He is part of the Math Honor Society at Cypress Bay and enjoys his position as Tutoring Head within the club. Sebastian has a true passion for mathematics and cannot wait to extend that passion to others!

Jonathan

Hello, my name is Jonathan and I have been at Mathnasium for over a year. I am currently obtaining my Masters' Degree at the University of Miami, and working with the FIU Football team. During my time at Mathnasium, I have been able to showcase my passion of helping others by aiding students with different math topics and providing assistance when needed!

Darren

Darren has a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University and has become a Certified Teacher for 5th-9th Grade Mathematics. After five years as a restaurant manager, Darren's management and business experience, coupled with his math and education background, brings a lot to our Mathnasium team. Before becoming our Area Manager, Darren was a Center Manager for 2 locations in South Florida, working with over 300 students and their families. Darren's wife is a Speech-Language Pathologist and former Special Education Support Facilitator for Broward County Schools. His father was a retired elementary school principal and his mother is a Pre-K teacher. Being that he comes from a family of educators, Darren has always had a passion for helping students learn math in a way that makes sense to them!
