Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Clayton

Lead Instructor
I'm a college adjunct professor at Maryville University where I typically teach college Algebra. I've taught everything from Contemporary Math to Differential Equations. I'm also an avid D&D player, reader, and gamer. My favorite part of math is that even though there's only one right answer, there can be many ways to solve a problem.

Ella

Instructor
I'm Ella and I like math because there are many ways to get to one solution. In college I plan on majoring in biology and plan on going Pre-Med. I like to do cheerleading and hang out with my friends.

Bilal

Instructor
HI! Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. It's logical steps and problem solving skills along with numerous applications in the real world make it something I'm passionate about. Let me know how I can help you!

Avani

Instructor
My name is Avani and I love to read, and I love to listen to music. I love to 3D design in my free time, and love learning about outer space. In the future, I want to work in the aerospace industry. I love how there is always a solution to a be found in Math, and how there are generally so many different ways to get to that answer - like a puzzle.

Abhi

Instructor
I am a junior at Marquette HIgh School. I am interested in AT and technology. I am interested in math because I enjoy the problem solving aspect and understanding how concepts can be applied to the real world. I am a member of the tennis team and MHS HOSA. I enjoy going to the gym.

Geoffrey

Instructor
Mr. Geoffrey Baker is attending St Charles Community College now with future plans at UMSL. He enjoys anything to do with math and science. His career goal would be something using both. Geoffrey loves game nights with his family and friends! Fun Fact: He is "uncle Geoffrey" to his 9 nieces and nephews, and Geoffrey is the youngest of 7. He grew up with one brother and five sisters! Geoffrey has always loved the number 13 because it was his older brother's favorite number and he wanted to be just like him. His favorite math joke is: Why do doctors always tell anyone who is cold to stand in a corner? Because they are always 90 degrees!

AkshayaShree I

Assistant Center Director
I have tutored professionally for over 15 years; I started in high school working both at an establishment and as a freelancer. At University, I was a Teaching Assistant for the Pre-Health Physics I & II classes and the Engineering Physics I & II labs, as well as the department's MCAT tutor for the physics portion. I attended St. Louis University to obtain a BS in Physics and Engineering Mathematics. I started as a double major in Computer Science and Physics while on the pre-health track, but after some years, and decided it was not the path for me at the time. I switched my Computer Science major to a minor and finished the pre-health track but decided to take a break before pursuing graduate school. This gave me a solid foundation in STEM, focusing mostly on Math and Physics. My ultimate goal is to swim with sharks and use my degrees to observe and preserve marine life as a Physical Zoologist. I am multi-lingual! I was the President of Sigma Pi Sigma (the Society of Physics Students), the Korean Student Association, and the National Society of Black Engineers back in University. This experience helped me to understand different cultures and work with a range of people. My main approach is to help students focus on their own strengths in order to learn and implement skills needed for better studying habits! I like to use various methods of teaching as well as the different resources available through Mathnasium.
