Alec Vulfson

Lead Instructor
I grew up in Westchester County across the border in New York, where developed fondness for math. I have completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Mathematics and Master’s in Mathematics at New York University. During that time there I was an active member of the NYU Quiz Bowl team and, of course, helped fellow students when they were struggling with their math homework. I am a part of a great team here at Mathnasium. Dmitriy (the owner/center director) has an infectious joy and enthusiasm towards the children, making everyone feel welcome. Every one of the instructors is knowledgeable and has a great personality. Mathnasium has a great learning environment which helps every one of the students succeed, and I love to contribute as much as I can to that environment.

Kyle Ratner

Assistant Center Director
I grew up in Wilton and went to Purdue University where I studied Environmental and Ecological Engineering. My claim to fame in high school was I tutored every subject offered, with the 2 exceptions of French and Latin. Teaching at Mathnasium of Wilton is a fun and rewarding experience. Watching a child’s face light up as they finally understand a problem is one of the greatest things I have ever seen, and it happens every day at Mathnasium. I truly enjoy working here and am excited to be a part of the team.

Antara Singh-Ghai

I am an applied math major at Brown University who grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut. I love working with the children here and seeing them gain confidence with math, whether it be basics or advanced subjects. Every instructor here has a strong passion for math and teaching, and their positivity and encouragement create a great learning environment for the students. Seeing their confidence grow as students and people is a deeply rewarding experience.

Michael Rafa

I am a retired engineer and have always enjoyed the learning process and, in the past, helping my colleagues with their part time studies. Working with children on their math skills at Mathnasium of Wilton has been wonderful! Helping them gain confidence in their skills is so very rewarding. This is not your run of the mill tutoring experience. Each student is carefully guided, improving every day...while having fun at the same time!

Sasha Kucher

I am a up and coming secondary mathematics teacher who studied math and physics engineering in his bachelor's.

I previously had worked as a teachers aide for my school, and wished to continue teaching, and Mathnasium provided the best environment to teach, providing students who are excited to be taught.

Scott Miller

I'm a computer engineer with an MBA and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.  I have "done math" my whole life and I love coaching and instructing.  I look forward to instructing the kids every time I'm scheduled.  My goal is to have each child love math the way I do!

Jordan Katz

Instructor

My name is Jordan, and I’m a recent graduate of Staples High School. I’ve loved math for as long as I can remember, from solving simple puzzles as a kid to tackling complex problems in school. This passion for math laid the foundation for my interest in computer programming. The logical thinking and problem-solving skills I developed through math made learning to code an exciting and natural progression. Now, outside of my role at Mathnasium, I focus on building and managing websites for small businesses, combining my skills in math and technology.

I truly enjoy working at this Mathnasium because it strikes the perfect balance between being productive and having fun. The positive and encouraging atmosphere fosters a great learning environment where students feel motivated and supported. It’s rewarding to see how much the students enjoy coming here and to be part of a team that makes math both engaging and accessible.

I am a senior in high school, and grew up in Fairfield County, CT. From a young age, I have always loved math, and working at Mathnasium gives me the wonderful opportunity to share my passions with others. Having helped my friends and family with their homework before, I knew working at Mathnasium was the right place for me. Each and every one of the instructors has an amazing personality, and extensive knowledge of the subject they’re teaching, creating a great learning environment for the students. The positive energy is truly infectious, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to help students become confident in themselves and their abilities.

Aniket Shetty

Instructor

I am a senior in high school who loves to solve  problems and teach others. I have always found how math shapes our world fascinating, compelling me to share that knowledge.

I like the supportive environment at Mathnasium and the opportunity to make a difference in students' lives. Nothing is as  rewarding as the students' confidence and understanding of math skills. Our Mathnasium's approach to teaching math makes learning interactive and engaging for students, making it fun and effective.

Andrew Moor

Instructor

I am a prospective high school senior passionate about tutoring students in Mathematics and Computer Science. Growing up in New Canaan, CT I have developed a great interest in Mathematics, and everything related to it. I believe that Mathematics is a key driver of success and innovation. Teaching the fundamentals to students is an eye-opening experience, as it allows me to present mathematics in a fun and unique way. I find that mathematics is constructive and essential for students to understand how the world works. It serves as the backbone of many prominent and cutting-edge fields. As William Paul Thurston famously said, "Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it's about understanding.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
