My favorite number is 7, it’s used frequently in the Scriptures to signify completeness. I love to use the tips and tricks I learn from our wonderful instructors to teach my sons at home! I’ve seen many new students come in looking nervous and leave with a new confidence and smile on their face. I was homeschooled from 1st-grade all the way through to my high school diploma. I can relate to many of our homeschooled students! Outside of the center, I love to draw, write, and hang out with my two cats, Retro and Tiny. I use the app Procreate to make art on my iPad. One of my favorite Winchester treats is a dirty chai latte and an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese from Scalfani’s.

My favorite number is 11. Well, it's one louder, innit? My favorite subject to teach is integer addition/subtraction. Outside of the center you can find me making music and graphics or hanging out with my two dogs- a Carolina beauty and a little brown mutt. For the record, Kings New York Pizza in Winchester is the best I've had in the state.

My favorite number is 27 because it's a perfect cube and it pops up in my life all the time. I like to teach integers because it's a difficult subject and I enjoy helping students understand it. I once had a student struggling with the concept until I explained it in terms of money: a negative number is when you owe money, and a positive number is when you give money. That made the concept click for them. Outside of the center, I like to hang out with my dog (a 15 year old Yorkie Pomeranian mix), grab ice cream from Bruster's in Winchester, or play darts—there is a surprising amount of math involved, but it's a lot of fun!

My favorite number is 7 - it was my number playing soccer growing up. My favorite math subject to teach is Pre-calculus. I find it rewarding when I hear a student say, "that’s a cool trick, I’ve never learned that" while at Mathnasium. Outside of the center you can find me teaching an adult ESL class or hanging out with my cat named Kitty. My favorite restaurant in Winchester is Taqueria Guadalajara.

My favorite number is 17 because it was my sports jersey number growing up. My favorite subject to teach is order of operations because I like following the steps. I find it rewarding when I hear a student say, “that makes it so much easier now!” after trying a new explanation for a challenging topic. Outside of the center you can find me lifting at the gym, hanging out with Dreamsicle (my adorable orange cat), or getting a coffee from the Doppio Bunny café. I also like to hike and do artsy things like painting, pottery, and drawing.

My favorite number is 153 because it is the sum of the cubes of its own digits (1^3 + 3^3 + 5^3). I enjoy learning and teaching practical math like statistics and calculus. These subjects are both fascinating for their theorems and essential for real-world fields like data analysis and engineering. My favorite “Aha!” moment was I was working on proportion word problems with a student of mine. Initially, he couldn’t solve the word problems, but when we took a step back, breaking down the steps and using tables/diagrams to simplify the concept, he began to understand. This really showed me how effective the Mathnasium methods can be. Outside the classroom, I’m an active DECA state finalist and multi-sport athlete (soccer, track, and tennis) who enjoys volunteering. To unwind, I’ve been an avid gamer since childhood, from Nintendo classics to Minecraft.

Our Mathnasium Mission
