Mathnasium of Yorba Linda's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We help students master foundational topics such as angles, shapes, congruence, and measurement, improving their spatial reasoning and logical thinking so they’re well prepared to take on more advanced geometry with confidence.
Using personalized learning plans, we can guide students through high-school-level geometric concepts such as proofs, triangles, circles, transformations, and the Pythagorean theorem. We focus on helping them truly understand how geometry works.
At Mathnasium, advanced learners and students preparing for math competitions can tackle rigorous proofs, coordinate geometry, and multi-step challenges, deepening their understanding and strengthening skills for college-level coursework.
At Mathnasium of Yorba Linda, our specially trained tutors work with students of all skill levels to help them truly understand and enjoy geometry through face-to-face instruction in a fun and empowering environment.
We guide students to connect geometric concepts to logical reasoning and real-world applications. As their understanding grows, so does their confidence to approach new problems with clarity and precision.
We employ the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques. We work with students both in-center and online, helping them develop a lasting understanding of geometry.
In each session, students receive face-to-face instruction in a small-group setting where they strengthen problem-solving skills and deepen their understanding of geometric relationships and logic.
Students begin their Mathnasium enrollment with a diagnostic assessment that helps us pinpoint their current skill level, knowledge gaps, and learning goals.
Using these insights, we develop a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs. Our tutors then target instruction on key topics such as angles, congruence, transformations, the Pythagorean Theorem, and proofs, ensuring they learn and master each concept step by step.

Specially Trained and Caring Team
Lindsay Hagie
Owner
Lindsay has been part of the Mathnasium family for over 17 years. Her journey began as a student seeking help with trigonometry, and she soon joined the team as an instructor. She holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Cal State Fullerton. Torn between counseling and teaching, she found the perfect blend of both at Mathnasium.
After years supporting franchisees at the corporate level, Lindsay fulfilled her dream of opening her own centers in Fullerton and Yorba Linda. She lives in Placentia with her husband, Tyler, and their sons, Graham and Tate.

She is passionate about educating the younger generation in both the arts and academic subjects. As Center Director, Michelle's goal is to create a safe, warm, and encouraging environment where students can develop a genuine passion for math and learning. She believes that children build a lasting love of learning through problem-solving, as it fosters confidence, critical thinking, and perseverance. By strengthening their problem-solving abilities, students gain the skills and self-confidence they need to succeed in school and in their future careers.
Sophia P.
Lead Instructor
Sophia is a Lead Instructor and first-year student at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Mathematics with a concentration in Teaching. She aspires to become a high school math teacher and loves seeing students light up when a tough concept finally makes sense.
