Elena studied math at the University of New Mexico. Elena and her husband, an Air Force retiree of 27 years active duty service, have lived in many locations. These include Europe and the Far East. They have two grown children, who are both in college. She enjoys gardening in her free time.

Danna is a former math teacher, a mom of 6 and a grandmother of 3. She is having trouble retiring so she is doing what she loves at Mathnasium.

Sadie is a student at Virginia Peninsula Community College, majoring in science. She hopes to be a teacher one day. Sadie loves games and hanging out with her two cats.

Austin

Instructor
Austin currently a Junior at Grafton High School and am percussion captain in the Grafton Marching Band. Outside of school, He competes nationally for karate as well as teaches younger kids karate at Brian Hobson Karate. He love everything about STEM and hope to go to college for pre med to be a doctor.

Bella

Instructor
Bella is going into her senior year of high school and taking college-level math courses. She likes reading, painting, crocheting, and is part of her school's debate team. She wants to pursue a career in pathology.

Jacob

Jacob is a dedicated student currently attending Virginia Peninsula Community College, where he is laying the foundation for his academic journey. With aspirations to transfer to William and Mary University, Jacob aims to pursue a dual major in mathematics and physics, driven by his passion for understanding the complexities of the universe. Outside of his academic pursuits, Jacob finds joy in reading and gaming with friends.. With a strong academic commitment and his focus on learning, Jacob is poised to make a positive impact in many students understanding of difficult mathematic concepts.

John

Instructor
John Bednarek has a bachelor’s degree in geology from the College of William and Mary and has studied in depth a wide range of scientific fields including physics, chemistry, biology, and anatomy. In his free time he enjoys playing D&D and spending time with his cat Brody.

Raymond

Instructor
Raymond is currently a student at Grafton High School and the Governor School for Science and Technology in the Computational Science strand. He is actively participating in Vex Robotics, First Robotics, and enjoy helping younger students who has an interest in STEM, and doing volunteering work.
