Creating your Mathnasium@home Account
Tips to make your Mathnasium@Home experience as smooth as possible! ..
Hello! We are Drew, Wendy, and Isaac (collectively, we’re the Gehman family). You may have seen us, especially Isaac, around Mathnasium for the past month or two. We’d love to formally introduce ourselves to you and to the entire Mathnasium of Zionsville family.
We are a math-loving and teaching-oriented family. Wendy has been a teacher for over a decade, spending many years working with 4th/5th grade high-ability students. Drew and Isaac both graduated from Rose-Hulman (’85 and ’16, respectively), have both worked in tech or engineering, and have a love for math in the real world. With these skills and a desire to share our passion with our community, we opened Mathnasium of Brownsburg (just a little bit south of here) in August of 2018! We’ve loved every minute of it and couldn’t be happier to be part of the Mathnasium family in the Central Indiana region.
Throughout all of this, Ron Smith has been a valuable mentor, partner, and friend. His advice and encouragement have been monumental throughout our journey; for those of you who know him well, I expect this is hardly surprising. Early in 2019, Ron approached us with a question: “Would the Gehmans be interested in purchasing Mathnasium of Zionsville?” Knowing how much this business has meant to him and what a wonderful business he’s built, we were incredibly flattered he would approach us. With little hesitation, we told him yes, we would love to be a part of this wonderful community.
Fast forward to September of this year, and Isaac began working at Zionsville full-time. During this time, Ron has been working with us in order to facilitate a smooth transition for our students, our families, and our staff. Now, Ron has stepped away from Mathnasium of Zionsville and is focused on spending time with his family and friends. It’s truly a bittersweet moment; we’re going to miss Ron, but we’re so happy he’s able to move onto other things so personally important to him.
So you may be asking, “what does that mean for Mathnasium of Zionsville?” Nothing but positive things. Again, Ron’s departure is bittersweet, but we’re excited to expand on the legacy he’s built. We’ve got exciting plans to update the center in a multitude of ways, all of which will ensure we continue to provide your child with quality math support. We’ll be transparent with you every step of the way and we’ll work hard to keep you informed. We hope you’re as excited as we are!
Two immediate things that will be helpful for you all to know:
If any of you have any questions for us or would simply like to get to know us better, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d be happy to receive your emails, calls, or even visit with you at the center! We’d love to hear from you and get to know the parents of all the wonderful students we’ve been meeting.
Thank you for welcoming us to Mathnasium of Zionsville. We look forward to a happy, exciting, and mathematical future together!
Sincerely,
Drew, Wendy and Isaac Gehman
