Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

Andre Kvitka - Center Director 

Andre is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Noe Valley. Before opening his Mathnasium center, Andre was the owner or technology consulting group specializing in research, development, and implementation of Information Systems and Web products. Prior to that, Andre was a Senior Technology Analyst at InfoWorld Magazine/IDG, a weekly IT publication. Having struggled with math as a child, Andre is enthusiastic about helping every child in the San Francisco community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. Outside of Mathnasium Andre is somewhat obsessed with ice hockey - he is a fan, a hockey player, and a Board of Directors Member for San Francisco Youth Hockey Association.


Alex D. - Instructor

Alex is a Senior at Abraham Lincoln High School. He enjoys teaching young kids and hopes through Mathnasium he can get kids excited about math. At Lincoln, Alex founded the Surf club which provides boards for any student wanting to get in the water. Alex loves to spend his spare time surfing, reading, playing guitar, listening to music, and climbing. He's going to Reed College in Oregon next fall to study Literature or History."

Eamon (aka 2-and-a-10) N. - Instructor 

Eamon is a Junior attending Lowell High School. Outside of school and Mathnasium, Eamon playing ice hockey on San Francisco Sabercats travel team, and plays baseball for his High School. Born and raised in San Francisco, Eamon spends a lot of time outdoors with his friends, or listening to music. He finds enjoyment in helping others and seeing the people he helps succeed.  As a Mathnasium instructor, Eamon looks to assist students in a way that the student can benefit from for years to come. 


Isabella (aka Izzy) J. - Instructor 

Isabella (Izzy) is a Senior at Lowell High School. She is a member of Lowell Science Research Program and Amnesty International, co-founded a volunteer school club called HICH (Helping In Children’s Hospitals). Izzy is an accomplished piano player, and in her free time she likes to listen to music, spend time with friends and family, read, and do puzzles. Math is her favorite subject because there’s always an exactly correct answer.

Mahcic R-H. - Instructor 

Mahcic is a senior at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. He is in the Theatre department and participates in acting, singing and dancing classes. Outside of school Mahcic enjoy listening and making music, playing guitar, and reading. Math has always been Mahcic's favorite subject because of its strict structural connection to music, and through my job at Mathnasium I hope to show kids how math connects to their interests and passions in life. Mahcic also believes that it’s important for children of color to feel represented, especially in the STEM field, and I hope to be a role model for kids that look like me.

Erica (aka Twizzlers) P. - Instructor 

Erica is a Senior at Lowell High School. She plays Tier Ice Hockey for the San Jose Junior Sharks, which means there is a lot of travel to various tournaments all over USA. When home, Erica acts as an officer for an activism club at her school called Amnesty International, and is actively campaigning for an improved transit system with the SFTR (San Francisco Transit Riders) Youth Outreach Program. In her free time Erica enjoys hanging out with friends, walking her puppy, and skiing in Tahoe (when there is snow). Erica's hope is that her work at Mathnasium will make a great impact in student’s lives.

Aidan D. - Instructor 

Aidan is a Senior at University High School. He hopes that through his job at Mathnasium he can help kids feel more confident in their math probem solving abilities while enjoying suject. Aidan was born in San Francisco and has lived there all his life. Outside of school, he loves spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, hiking, backpacking, biking, skiing, traveling, and pretty much anything that involves being outdoors.

Fun Fact: Aidan doesn't like chocolate. 

Anais J. - Instructor 

Anais is a Senior at Abraham Lincoln High School, where she enjoys challenging herself with science and math classes. She is the founder of the ALHS Algebra Tutoring club and is also part of the Surf Club and Horseshoe Club. Outside of school, Anais likes to spend her time playing piano, playing with her dog, and listening to music. She plans to go to college in California and major in Biotechnology. Anais hopes working as an Instructor at Mathnasium she can make a lasting impact on students by helping them learn skills they will need in life.

Beatrice (aka Bumble Bea) JD. - Instructor 

Beatrice is a Second Year Architecture major with a minor in Architectural Engineering and hopefully Urban Agriculture at the University of San Francisco. She is Vice President of the Society of Architecture Students and Finance Chair of Black Rainbow Party. Born and raised in New York, Beatrice has decided to take a break from the cold and complete her bachelor's degree in San Francisco. In her hometown, she worked at her local Mathnasium since her senior year of high school and is excited to teach students in San Francisco!
