Lakshmi Kondubhatla, Director
Lakshmi has a Bachelor's Degree in computer science from India, and a second Bachelor's Degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. While working with a non-profit organization and tutoring middle school students in math, Lakshmi became aware of the achievement gap that exists among school age children and how schools are not able to help every individual overcome the obstacles that keep them from progressing and enjoying math. Lakshmi's father, who is her role model and guide, is a teacher by profession, and has inspired her to follow in his footsteps. She was attracted to Mathnasium because of the difference she can make in a child's life and the chance to inspire them. She has observed that many kids are intimidated and afraid of math and she looks forward to the opportunity to help the children in her community learn to love numbers and math as she does. Lakshmi feels blessed with a wonderful family and enjoys spending time with them and doing crosswords and sudoku puzzles in her spare time.
