Meet the Team at Mathnasium of North Fresno

Andy Benitez Lopez

Andy was born and raised in Fresno. He currently attends Fresno State and is majoring in Mathematics in hopes of one day becoming a Math teacher. He attended Edison High School, where through their engineering program, he developed a passion for science and technology, as well as community service. In his free time, he likes to play video games and paint.

Daniel Hieng

Daniel has been attending Fresno State as a Mathematics major. He has plans on becoming a Mathematics teacher at either the High School or College level. Daniel attended Corcoran and Golden West High Schools. Daniel likes gaming and helping others.

Elizabeth Nicolet

Elizabeth graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Joaquin Memorial High School. She now attends Fresno City College with plans of transferring to a 4-year university with the ultimate goal of becoming a Chemistry teacher. She loves working with kids and has always enjoyed and excelled in math from a young age.

Jeremy Levie

Jeremy is a native of Fresno and a graduate of Yale University. Jeremy finds math to be fun and loves working with children. He thrives in the team teaching environment of Mathnasium.

Sarah Bozsum

Sarah grew up in Fresno and graduated from Edison High School. She is a Biology major at Fresno City College, transferring to Fresno State to complete her bachelor's degree. Her career goal is something in the realm of microbiology or zoology.

Sebastian Herrera

Sebastian grew up in Orange Cove. He is attending Fresno State University, studying Math. Sebastian loves working at Mathnasium and seeing the progress of our students every day.

Rick Castrapel

Rick is a retired Community College professor, teaching Mathematics and Computer Science. He holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University.

Bella Capell

Isabella Capell grew up in fresno and is a senior at Edison High. She likes science and art and plans to study chemical engineering in college. Bella enjoys getting to work with and talk to the kids.

Emma Ledieff

Emma is a native of Fresno and an alumnus of Mathnasium. She is excited and eager to share her "insider" knowledge with our students.

Claire Tseng

Claire is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BS in data science and a minor in mathematics. She is a mom returning to the workforce and loves helping Mathnasium students with their math like she helped her son.

Justus Carlisle

Justus has a master's degree in mathematics from Sacramento State University. He loves helping Mathnasium kids with their math and teaching them chess during the "cool-down" period.

Gyan Satpathy

Gyan was an engineer in his native India. He enjoys sharing his real-world math experiences with Mathnasium students.

Angel Hieng

Angel has lived all over the Central Valley. She is currently working towards her career in IT. She hopes to see our students' work continue to grow through their learning here at Mathnasium.
