Summer is that time of the year when students can prevent the summer slide, fill up previous years' gaps and get a jumpstart into the next year by enrolling at Mathnasium.
At Mathnasium, summer programs are all about preventing summer learning loss and helping students prepare for what lies ahead. For some students, that means a solid review of previous material. Others benefit from previewing upcoming concepts. Most students will get some of both. We create a special program to prevent summer learning loss and ensure that kids are ready for the next school year and beyond. In addition to the regular Mathnasium program, we offer specific readiness programs during the summer, including:
1. Jumpstart for Next Year for students who need a preview of the upcoming year’s math topics.
2. Algebra Readiness for students going into Algebra 1 next year.
3. Geometry Preview for students going into Geometry next year.
4. Power Math Workouts for students who want to challenge their skills (Multiplication/Fractions/Decimals/Percents).
Students come to Mathnasium to exercise their analytical and problem solving skills. Regardless of grade or skill level, the Mathnasium system evaluates their current performance level and propels them forward. Summer is an ideal time to take advantage of Mathnasium’s Power Math Workouts. These workouts were designed to be done over a six- to eight-week period of time, to give students an extra boost heading into the new school year. However, some students take a little less time or a little more time to work through a given program.
