Madison Elle Tongco

Hi there! I'm Madi, a student at Lakeview Technology Academy. I love math and am a part of Lakeview's Math Club. I have participated in numerous math competitions, including Mathcounts and Math Kangaroo. My favorite math theorem is the Chicken McNugget Theorem. I've played piano for over 10 years and run cross country for Indian Trail. I love working with kids and am excited to share my passion for math with others!

Margaret Lucke

Hello! My name is Margaret and I'm an instructor at Mathnasium in Pleasant Prairie. I have earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, master's degree from Carthage College, and have recently retired after teaching secondary mathematics in Illinois for over three decades. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, read, and play handbells and the piano. I enjoy helping students be successful and gain confidence in math using the Mathnasium way!

Lillian Metzger

Hi! I'm Lillian, a student at Indian Trail. I enjoy math and participate in a math competition league throughout middle school. I've been in dance for 14 years and enjoy being an assistant in the little kid classes. I also enjoy horseback riding, sewing, and music/choir.

Diego Castañeda

Hello there! I am Diego Castañeda, and I am a second-year student at Carthage College majoring in Chemistry. My choice of major might give away the fact that I have a passion for math and enjoy teaching it to others. Outside of college and working at Mathnasium, I like to play piano, read, experiment with vegan recipes, travel (within my budget), and study different languages. A great quote from one of my favorite linguists, Noam Chomsky, is, “The structure of language determines not only thought, but reality itself.” I look forward to showing kids how to break down math problems as well as boosting their confidence in the classroom!

Lakshmi Bhadrachalam

Hello, I am Lakshmi, an instructor at Mathnasium of Pleasant Prairie. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Computer Science Engineering. I enjoy teaching kids the various strategies to solve problems and be successful. In my free time I spend time with my family.

Kimberly Jensen

Hello, and welcome to The Math Learning Center! My name is Kim Jensen and I am excited to be mentoring students at Mathnasium of Pleasant Prairie. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and relish any opportunity to empower students, especially females and minorities, in S.T.E.M. fields. As a former homeschooler, I saw firsthand how successful individualized instruction can be. For recreation, I enjoy boating, sewing, staying fit, and spending time with family in northern WI. My time spent at Mathnasium has been very rewarding.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
