Bill Price - Instructor
Bill taught math for thirteen years at Houston Community College. He holds an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and a Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Bill is an avid traveler and runner.
I love Mathnasium because: "I still get a thrill out of seeing a student finally understand a concept that he or she has struggled with."
Fun Fact: Bill was a crewmember in the last combat mission ever flown by an F-105.
Takuhiro Takei - Instructor
Taku is a senior at the University of Houston where he is majoring in Biology. His hobbies are playing basketball, videogames, and working out. He tutored Algebra at San Jacinto Community College for about a year prior to joinging the team at Mathnasium.
In five years, I'll be: "I will be in medical school studying to become a general physician."
Fun Fact: "I have played cello for 7 years and piano for 3 years."
Francisco Padron - Instructor
Francisco holds an undergraduate degree in Physics and Geophysics, with Master Studies in Geological Sciences. His main work has been as operations geophysicist and hydrogeologist; he worked in different parts of the world for exploration projects. Francisco enjoys traveling anywhere for work or vacations. His hobbies include karaoke singing, playing piano, reading, car restoration, and studying languages. He is currently working toward his teacher certification in the state of Texas.
Fun Fact:"I did skydiving a few times but prefer a cup of coffee now."
I love Mathnasium because: "I love the moment when a student gets the “Aha” or “eureka” moment after understanding a concept and his or her face lightens up. It also challenges me to maintain my knowledge and teaching skills."
Nathan Wong - Instructor
Nathan is a sophomore studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston, on track for a minor in Mathematics and Chemistry. In his spare time, Nathan likes to play videogames, watch cooking shows, skate, and play badminton.
Fun fact: “I am an unofficial Adidas Originals Ambassador.”
In five years, I'll be: “Hopefully I will be a licensed Professional Engineer by now and have a foot in the Process Industry.”
Victoria Pride - Instructor
Victoria is currently a junior at the University of Houston majoring in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Computers and Embedded Systems. Her hobbies include reading, calligraphy, and roller skating.
Favorite Math Joke: “How do you stay warm in any room? Just huddle in the corner where it's always 90 degrees.”
Fun Fact: “My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw.”
Brenna Garza - Instructor
Brenna is a sophomore at the University of Houston majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. Her hobbies include: drawing, playing tennis, and teaching myself to play different instruments.
Fun Fact: "I modeled for a hair salon called Fringe in the Upper Kirby area. The stylist dyed my hair pink."
In five years, I'll be: "I hope to be an engineer for Phillips 66, and I hope to have opportunities to see other countries."
Kunihiro Takei - Instructor
Kuni holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Houston. Currently, he is working towards switching his major to BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing). His hobbies are playing volleyball, video games, and watching anime.
Fun Fact: "I am Japanese and hold a black-belt in Shouto-kan Karate."
In five years, I'll be: "I will either have a Masters in Nurse Practicioner or Certified Nurse anesthsist."
Elisabeth Santos - Instructor
Elisabeth is a recent graduate from the University of Houston. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Finance. Her hobbies include: hanging out with family, baking, reading, playing piano and videogames.
Fun Fact: "I have a white German Shepherd named Oso and a cat named Bambi."
